HELP NEEDED—NEW CANTEEN COORDINATOR

Can you spare 1 hour of a Monday morning to collate canteen orders?

Please contact the office ASAP if you are interested in this role. We also need parent

helpers at 12.00pm to prepare lunch orders for the students.

Tuckshop—Monday, 24th February — Bronwyn Osborne

Manildra Public School is participating in a research project conducted by Australian Catholic University,

called iPLAY.

This project is funded and supported by the NSW Department of Education and the National Health and

Medical Research Council and will evaluate the effectiveness of a professional learning intervention targeting

primary school teachers. The research involves developing teachers’ skills and strategies to improve sport and

PE lessons and increase students’ physical activity and health. These improvements are expected to increase

students’ engagement, motivation, behaviour and learning as well as improve teachers’ confidence.

As a result of our participation, we will have members of the iPLAY team here on Tuesday 25th February and

we ask that all students wear their Sports uniform.

Year 5/6 Assembly Item - ‘The Cup Song’

Today we held our first assembly for 2020. Our new school leaders did a wonderful job of leading the

assembly.

The 5/6 Class performed ‘The Cup Song’ which was great to watch. Mrs Brooks explained that it was a very

tricky song to learn.
