Manildra Public School P&C AGM
On Wednesday evening the Manildra Public School P&C held its
Annual General Meeting. A new executive committee was elected.
Thank you to our outgoing President Anne Salter for her hard
work and commitment especially during 2019. Anne is a very
dedicated member of the Manildra Public School community who
is always on hand to help and organise our events and fundraising
activities with precision and outstanding attention to detail.
Our committee for 2020 is:
President Katherine Shannon
Secretary Renae Allcorn
Treasurer Lisa Gosper
Thank you to all of our parents who attend our meetings and help
our school raise much needed funds. The funds contribute to every
student’s educational experience. The P&C fund the buses for
excursions, assist in the provision of resources and infrastructure at
the school. If any parents or community members are interested in
the work the P&C do, we encourage you to come to a meeting or
volunteer to help at any of our fundraising activities.
Our next major fundraiser is a Bunning BBQ on Saturday 21st of
March. Please contact Mrs Megan Brooks or the office if you are
available to help. A roster will be in place and all we ask is 2 hours
of your time on the day.

After School Care Service - Enrol Now
After a extremely long and drawn out process, we
are very pleased to announce that we are now
taking enrolments for our After School Care Service.
Our final Pre-approval inspection was conducted on
Thursday. As soon as Cabonne Council have our
service added to the Child Care Subsidy Scheme, we
are ready to commence.
Enrolment forms are available from the office and contain all of the
information you need about the service. A definite start date will be
announced very soon.
Fees are $30 per day for casual enrolments and $28 per day for
permanent days. It will operate from 3pm to 6pm Monday to Friday.
Thank you to Toni Searle of Cabonne Council for making this
happen. It is a great service for the Manildra community and is open
to all Primary School aged children. Joan Coutis joins the team as a
Cabonne Council employ and comes with a wealth of experience.
We are thrilled to have Joan on-board.

Manildra Public School is participating in a research project conducted by Australian Catholic University,
called iPLAY.
This project is funded and supported by the NSW Department of Education and the National Health and
Medical Research Council and will evaluate the effectiveness of a professional learning intervention targeting
primary school teachers. The research involves developing teachers’ skills and strategies to improve sport and
PE lessons and increase students’ physical activity and health. These improvements are expected to increase
students’ engagement, motivation, behaviour and learning as well as improve teachers’ confidence.
As a result of our participation, we will have members of the iPLAY team here on Tuesday 25th February and
we ask that all students wear their Sports uniform.
Year 5/6 Assembly Item - ‘The Cup Song’
Today we held our first assembly for 2020. Our new school leaders did a wonderful job of leading the
assembly.
The 5/6 Class performed ‘The Cup Song’ which was great to watch. Mrs Brooks explained that it was a very
tricky song to learn.
