3 Spare Parts

The Spare Parts Catalog contains two classes of spare parts:

• Recommended for customer stock. Intended to be replaced on-site and tobe returned to Ericsson (code = R).

• The parts are available upon request and the lead time may be longer(code = A).

The repairable unit must be protected against Electrostatic Discharge (ESD)and damage due to transport. The repairable unit therefore must be packed inan ESD-insulated plastic bag and transported in a shock-absorbent box. Thismust be done by reusing the spare unit's original packing material.

Position numbers present in brackets ( ) are associated parts, not necessarilyshown in illustrations. Position numbers with letters, for example 3A or 3Bare alternative products. New products are indicated by a # sign in front ofthe position number.

Parts without product number can be shown in illustrations, but are notrecommended for customer stock. Such parts can be included in a Spare PartsSet, but cannot be ordered separately. If a reference to another chapter isgiven, more information is found there.

In the following sections the position number of each spare part corresponds toa number in the relevant figure. Position number within parenthesis in a tableindicate that the number is not present in the relevant figure.
