Welcome back, Beachwood!

I am happy that you are holding a paper-based copy of our Recreation Guide for the first time in two years. And I want to thank you for helping our city get through the COVID pandemic by wearing masks, getting vaccinated, and supporting our virtual activities, Beachwood Council meetings and Beachwood Delivers. It’s been my pleasure to attend block parties this summer and it is my sincere hope that the pandemic trajectory allows us to keep meeting in-person for fun and community-enriching events, including:

Honkin’ Haulin’ Hands-On Trucks: Sunday, September 12 from NOON — 3:00 PM at the Department of Public Works at 23355 Mercantile Road.

Beachwood Fall Festival: Sunday, October 3 from NOON — 5:00 PM at the City Hall Parking Lot, 25325 Fairmount Blvd.

Build a Scarecrow: Sunday, October 17 from 11:00 AM — 1:00 PM at Beachwood City Park East. Registration for this event is required.

Nobody knows what will happen tomorrow, so I encourage all of our residents to register for the BEACHWOOD eLIST and receive occasional emails regarding City events and updates. You can sign up at www.BeachwoodOhio.com/list.aspx or by sending an email to [email protected]. Another great way to stay in-the-know is by following the City of Beachwood at:

FEESCourse fees vary and must be paid in full at time of registration. ONE CHECK MAY BE WRITTEN OR ONE CHARGE USED FOR MULTIPLE CLASS REGISTRATIONS. Make checks payable to CITY OF BEACHWOOD. No post-dated checks will be accepted.

REGISTRATION DEADLINEDeadlines are used as a tool to determine whether there is enough interest in a class/activity to invest time and money. If a class minimum isn’t met by the deadline date, the activity may be cancelled. Does missing the deadline mean I can’t get into the class? In some cases, except sports leagues and camps, participants may still be able to register for an activity until the class is filled. But early registration guarantees you and your family members a spot in your favorite activities.

INCLEMENT WEATHER CANCELLATIONSWhen the Beachwood City Schools are not in session or are dismissed early due to inclement weather, all daytime, afternoon and/or evening Community Services classes will not be held, regardless of weather changes.
