The Mission of TEAMMATES
To impact the world by inspiring youth to reach their full potential through mentoring.
The Purpose of TEAMMATES
Dr. Tom and Nancy Osborne founded the TeamMates Mentoring Program in 1991 in an effort to provide support and encouragement to school-aged youth. The goal of the program is to see youth
graduate from high school and pursue post-secondary education. To reach this goal, youth meet one
time per week with a caring adult who serves as a mentor. Mentors are volunteers from the community who have dedicated themselves to making a difference in the life of a young person. Mentors give
youth a sense of hope, purpose, and vision. The TeamMates Mentoring Program currently provides a mentor for over 9,000 youth across Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Wyoming, and South Dakota.
Core Values
-Commitment to Youth- We are committed to serving youth with compassion and respect.
-Safety- The safety and protection of the mentee and mentor is first priority.
-Integrity and Trust- We are committed to integrity and trust in all relationships.
-Inclusion- We are committed to the inclusion of mentees and mentors from diverse backgrounds.
Vision
To serve 12,000 youth and be nationally recognized as the leading school-based mentoring program.
Closing the Gap
The National Mentoring Partnership has identified a "mentoring gap" and has issued a nationwide call to action. The partnership estimates 15 million youth are currently in need of a mentor. The need is
great for caring adults in the lives of youth and with your help we can make a difference, one youth at a time. Regardless of your background or your professional position, you have a role to play in the future
of mentoring. By supporting the TeamMates Mentoring Program, you can change the future for an entire generation of young people.
Investing in the Future
"Our young people face different challenges today that affect them personally, if we are going to make a difference, we have to get involved with them as one-to-one mentors. We thank you for your support and we know that one
student at a time, we can make a difference, not only in this generation, but for the generations to come."
- Dr. Tom & Nancy Osborne
Participants and Professionals,
Thank you for joining us for the 2020 Platte Valley Pro-Am. We appreciate your patronage and look forward to a wonderful week. As Covid-19 continues to spread across the country, please be very careful to maintain social distancing and to give people their space. Everyone has a different level of concern and we would like for everyone to be aware and error on the side of caution if and when possible. If at any point you are feeling ill, please stay away. We are extremely excited to announce that the 2020 Platte Valley Pro-Am will once again feature a record number of professionals and participants. With 250 total participants, pace-of-play will be an important focus of this year’s event. We ask that all participants do their best to keep up. We will have marshals this year to help us regulate the pace. Please be courteous as the marshal is here to help make the event successful. Please help us in thanking all of the sponsors, volunteers, and staff that help make the Platte Valley Pro-Am the premier golf event in Western Nebraska! In this packet you will find information for this year’s event. Included is a schedule of events, rules sheets for each of the events, and a listing of your tee-times. If you need any assistance, please contact one of our staff members. Included in your tournament entry fee is a practice round on Thursday, range balls for the week, and golf cart for Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Your entry also includes lunch and appetizers on Friday and lunch and dinner on Saturday. Your team’s tee times are included in this packet. Teams and professionals must report to their starting tee box ten minutes prior to their assigned tee times. Teams arriving after their time will be penalized or disqualified. Scorecards will be provided at the tee, along with daily pin sheets and a pace sheet. Please make sure your scorecard is signed by the scorer and attested by the professional, playing partner, or team before being turned in. We have a great field for the 2020 Platte Valley Pro-Am. I would like to thank you for attending this year’s event and encourage you to partake in all of the activities this event has to offer. Thank you again to our generous sponsors. Have a wonderful weekend and play well!

Friday - Amateur Rules Sheet
1st Round (Friday) - SCRAMBLE The amateurs will play a scramble format for the first round. In a scramble, each amateur player
hits a drive. The team then selects the best drive and all amateur players hit from the selected position. This process is repeated until the ball is holed.
The ball may be marked and placed within one club length of its original position, no closer to the hole, through the green. It may be marked and placed within one putter head length of its original position, no closer to the hole, on the green. At all times, the team must maintain the integrity of
the lie (i.e. If the ball lies in the rough it must stay in the rough).
Each player’s drive must be used three (3) times during the 18-hole round. The professional’s shots may not be used by the team, but the professional’s score for the hole may be
used by the team if the professional makes a better score than the team’s scramble score.
In this event, all players will receive 80% handicaps. Team handicaps will be calculated by taking 20% of player A, 15% of player B, 10% of player C, 5% of player D, and rounded to the nearest tenth.

Saturday - Amateur Rules Sheet
2nd Round (Saturday) – Best Ball (1 gross, 1 net) The format for the second round is a best ball; one low gross plus one low net.
Each player will play their own ball in this format. The team will then use the low gross score and the low net score on each hole and combine them for the team score. The low net score and the
low gross score may not be from the same player. Players are given 80% of their GHIN Index which is converted into tournament handicaps. Cards are dotted for the amateurs accordingly.
PLEASE MAKE SURE EVERYONE RECORDS THEIR SCORES ON EACH HOLE FOR HANDICAP
PURPOSES. YOU MAY USE EQUITABLE STROKE IF NECESSARY. HOLES NOT FILLED OUT WILL BE ASSUMED AS A BOGEY. THIS IS FOR HANDICAP TRACKING PURPOSES.
