Garbage & Recycling Collection

All homes are required to participate in the

garbage and recycling program. Services are

billed as a special charge on the annual property

tax bill.

Garbage and recyclables will be collected each

Thursday, with adjustments for holiday weeks.

(Please refer to the calendar on the reverse.)

Items for collection must be placed curbside by

7:00 a.m. Allow 3 feet of space around your

carts for the truck’s lift arm. Do not place your

garbage or recyclables near your mailbox, allow-

ing room for your mail carrier.

Be sure to remove emptied carts from the curb in

a timely manner.

Wheeled carts are provided by the contractor.

Broken wheels or lids, or damage due to normal

wear and tear should be reported to the Village

Clerk (715-687-4166) for replacement. Carts

damaged by negligence will be replaced with a

$75 charge to the property owner.

Weekly garbage MUST fit inside your cart.

Garbage bag stickers may be purchased at the

Village office ($1.50 each) for the occasional

weeks that you have excess garbage.

Garbage, recycling, & compost services de-

scribed herein are for Village residents ONLY.

Plastics #1 - #7 may be included for recycling.

Have an old fridge or freezer? Recycle it by call-

ing Focus on Energy at 800-354-1898. They’ll

pick it up for free and give you a cash incentive!

It’s that easy!

PLEASE SAVE THIS BROCHURE

FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.

This information is also

available at

www.stra t fordwi .com
