Ministry Update of Buckeye Border FCA This past fall the Washington Na1onals won in amazing fashion the World Series. Not many expected this team to accomplish, what they accomplished, and for that reason their championship run will be remembered for years to come. A few years before that the Chicago Cubs broke the curse with a memorable year and World Series championship. During my junior year in high school my football team won a State Championship. I remember that night, the pep rally and celebra1on aEerwards, and the 3- mile caravan of cars following the school bus from Indianapolis to Mishawaka, IN. Growing up, I remember certain games in which I played, moments of victory and defeat. I can’t remember all spor1ng events, but there are some events that will s1ck out in my mind forever! What is your favorite spor1ng memory? Take a moment to think about what the Psalmist said, “They did not remember his power and how he rescued them from their enemies.” You see because they did not remember who God was and His mighty power, His love, His jus1ce and grace….they fell away from God! When we forget about God, who He is, and what He does – we are doomed to fall away from Him. The night we won a State Championship is a wonderful moment to be remembered, as well as many other moments in life. However, it is God and His incredible aTributes we must always remember. On November 10, 2019, FCA celebrated 65 years of staying true to their vision and mission. Since 1954, the Lord has blessed this ministry by introducing millions of coaches and athletes to Jesus Christ. Many have put their faith in Him, securing their eternity as Jesus remembers them by welcoming them into His Kingdom. I remember joining this mission 15 years ago. I remember some of my first mee1ngs and Huddles. I remember the ini1al challenge of building a board, raising funds, and gebng into schools. It has been an incredible ride and I praise God for all who have been part of the Buckeye Border FCA ministry. But I also remember, that the faithfulness of God has been here since day one! I will not forget God’s faithfulness, direc1on, and grace! As we move forward into 2020, let us remember our Faithful and Mighty God! Thank you for your prayers, support, and encouragement! I can honestly say that, “I remember you in my prayers, as I give thanks to God for your love, prayers, and dona1ons to this ministry.” January, 2020 - Rex Stump, Area Director Remember When? You may or may not have heard that we had an incredible goal of raising $38,000 to meet our 2019-2020 Strategic Plans. These plans include adding another part-1me staff, purchasing more Bibles, hos1ng more school assemblies, coaching clinics, and a large por1on to help with our summer Leadership Camp! Well….Praise God, we met our goal. The #GivingTuesday event, sponsored by Everence, shot us over our goal in an incredible fashion! ThispastfalltheWashingtonNa1onalswoninamazingfashiontheWorldSeries.Notmanyexpectedthisteamtoaccomplish,whattheyaccomplished,andforthatreasontheirchampionshiprunwillberememberedforyearstocome.AfewyearsbeforethattheChicagoCubsbrokethecursewithamemorableyearandWorldSerieschampionship.DuringmyjunioryearinhighschoolmyfootballteamwonaStateChampionship.Irememberthatnight,thepeprallyandcelebra1onaEerwards,andthe3-milecaravanofcarsfollowingtheschoolbusfromIndianapolistoMishawaka,IN.Growingup,IremembercertaingamesinwhichIplayed,momentsofvictoryanddefeat.Ican’trememberallspor1ngevents,buttherearesomeeventsthatwills1ckoutinmymindforever!Whatisyourfavoritespor1ngmemory?

TakeamomenttothinkaboutwhatthePsalmistsaid,“Theydidnotrememberhispowerandhowherescuedthemfromtheirenemies.”YouseebecausetheydidnotrememberwhoGodwasandHismightypower,Hislove,Hisjus1ceandgrace….theyfellawayfromGod!WhenweforgetaboutGod,whoHeis,andwhatHedoes–wearedoomedtofallawayfromHim.ThenightwewonaStateChampionshipisawonderfulmomenttoberemembered,aswellasmanyothermomentsinlife.However,itisGodandHisincredibleaTributeswemustalwaysremember.

Aswemoveforwardinto2020,letusrememberourFaithfulandMightyGod!Thankyouforyourprayers,support,andencouragement!Icanhonestlysaythat,“Irememberyouinmyprayers,asIgivethankstoGodforyourlove,prayers,anddona1onstothisministry.”
