I needed to complete an English language course in order to study nursing at Deakin. But at DUELI, I learnt so much more than just English: I met students from many different countries and backgrounds, and we learnt so much through exchange of knowledge about our varied cultures.

DUELI also provided me with the opportunity to develop my academic skills, such as writing essays and the research process that I currently use on a daily basis.Saul Elias Paullo Zuniga (Peru) Past-DUELI student, and current Deakin Bachelor of Nursing student

My study at DUELI helped me improve my English greatly. I also learnt how to write essays and reports; it laid a good foundation for my university study.

Also, my participation in the DUELI Leadership Program helped me strengthen my teamwork and communication abilities.
