Fluid Level Sensors

RESISTIVE SENSORDesigned with no moving parts (unlike float switches) to detect liquid levels ideal for fluid monitoring. Compatible with all Index Marine and third-party alarm panel products.

The resistive fluid sensor is fitted with two small probes which allow very low voltage and extremely low amperage to pass between them when immersed in fluid. When detection circuitry is triggered by the presence of fluid, a signal is sent to the control panel. Supplied with a 10m lead and is ideal for marine applications, flood detection, control and defence in domestic, industrial or infrastructure environments.

Water Ingress/Bilge Alarms

WATER INGRESS/FLOOD DETECTION & ALARMIMBE20 level alarm unit that can independently monitor liquids to either high or low levels and has two channels with audio alarm and independent annunciator lights. FOUR STATION BILGE ALARMThe 4 station bilge alarm system comprises of a control panel fitted with LED lights for flood warning and “Power ON”, a 90 dB siren, push button switchable - “Power ON / OFF” and alarm silence. The IMBE15 alarm system monitors fluid levels in up to four areas simultaneously and is packaged as a sealed unit that is easy to install. A suitable solution for working, military and special use boats used in harsh environments to alert the crew to the presence of water in the boat’s bilges.

GALVANIC ISOLATORS The IM2160 range of galvanic isolators are essential in preventing earthing problems and aid in the prevention of galvanic and stray electrical currents, which can cause devastating corrosive damage to your vessel.

ELECTRICAL STATUS/FAULT INDICATORProvides a monitoring LED light panel, two white LED lights indicates no fault. SAFETY ON-BOARD BEGINS WITH YOUR VESSEL’S SYSTEM STATUS Our integrated Marine Safety Electronics Systems ensure visual real-time information of on-board system functionality. The module approach provides safety equipment that allows boat owners, crewmembers and fleet operatives to monitor and control the safety aspects of the vessel. Whether you are a weekend sailor, boat owner, marine electrician or professional boat builder, our products provide a neat and easy installation.

All annunciator panels have simple terminal blocks to ensure easy installation.

EIGHT CHANNEL WATER INGRESS ALARM

Suitable for monitoring bilge or holding tanks, as well as commercial or domestic flood situations and water ingress observation. The unit can independently monitor liquids to either high or low levels and accommodates up to 8 water level detectors.

Under normal conditions, the panel will display green LED annunciator lights to indicate safety on-board. However, in the event of the vessel taking on water, an alert is indicated by an audio alarm and the relevant LED zone light.

BILGE PUMP CONTROLDesigned to automate water removal by monitoring bilge water levels via water sensors and activate the vessel’s bilge pumps when levels reach a certain point. Designed to run, up to 2 bilge pumps in automatic mode or manually for a pre-set time 30/60/120 seconds. The panel also has a ‘test’ mode, which is used to test the sensors and activate the pumps for a few seconds to ensure normal functional behaviour.

In order to preserve battery levels and reduce the likely hood of false triggers due to splosh, the unit pulses the sensor every 5 seconds. Under normal conditions, the panel will display the two pumps LED lights green to indicate safety on-board.

EXHAUST TEMPERTURE ALARM The panel can monitor exhaust temperatures of up to 2 engines and provides both an audible and visual alarm. The system is suitable for twin-engine boats with 12 or 24v operation and is supplied with two 90°C sensors (other sensor values are available if required) with 5m of connecting cable. Built-in test assures the user of correct operation.

Under normal conditions, the panel will display green LED annunciator lights to indicate safety on-board. However, in the event of the exhaust temperature rise due to pump failure or water blockage either the caution yellow LED or over temp red LED light will indicate an issue.
