This month we prepared a special goodbye to a special person at J. R. Reid. Modeled after the book “Only One You” the students and staff painted rocks to help create a colorful rock garden dedicated to Mme. Milne. Over the last 19 years at JRR Mme. Milne was a classroom teacher, French teacher, and school counselor. She taught us all the true meaning of the book’s messages: be yourself and make the world a better place. We wish Mme. Milne all the best as she moves on to share her love and knowledge with staff and students at New Era School. We will miss you! -J.R. Reid Staff & Students
It is with a heavy heart that I have to say good bye to J.R. Reid School after 19 years. I have made so many friendships and connections in my time here and I will forever remember all of it and everyone as I move on to a new school. You have all made a permanent imprint in my life and I am so thankful for all of you. Farewell and keep leading by example Reiders! Au revoir.
-Mme. Milne
"Spread Your Wings and See How Far You Fly"
This motivational collaborative Zentangle art piece was put together by the middle years students at J.R. Reid School. Each student designed a feather to contribute to the larger collaborative art piece. This art installation is stunning and students have already begun to take their photo in front of it as part of the end of the school year celebrations.
This art installation was inspired by the "What Lifts You" mural in Nashville, Tennessee, by artist Kelsey Montague. Template designed by Rise over Run Teaching Resources.
