Providing exceptional end-of-life care and grief support resources for the community is our first priority.Our team-oriented approach is tailored to the patient’s needs and wishes, delivering medical care, pain management, emotional and spiritual support, as well as addressing family needs.

This year we were recognized as a Hospice Honors Recipient, a national award recognizing excellence in hospice care from the caregiver’s point of view, scoring above the national average in every category.

Our FinancesOur work is guided by our nonprofit mission to serve all members of our community and encircle those facing the end of life with comfort, compassion, and expertise. We frame all decisions, strategies, personnel, and programs with the single focus on what is best for patients and families. This year, HSCC’s Board of Directors and Leadership committed to a year of investment, funded through Board Designated cash reserves, to ensure a solid future for the organization. Our work in forming the California Hospice Network (CHN) will ensure long-term viability and relevance for HSCC and other stand-alone nonprofit hospice organizations in California.

We are proud to be a founding member of the California Hospice Network, a strategic partnership committed to sustaining local nonprofit, community-based hospice care in California.

Embracing the future of telemedicine we launched a Telehealth pilot project to enhance access to clinical staff for palliative care patients.

Scotts Valley Chamber of Commerce recognized Hospice of Santa Cruz County as the 2019 Organization of the year.
