About the WorkshopAs pediatric nurses, we work with many patients, some of whom will die, despite ijmproving cure rates. This two-day ELNEC-PPC course will provide nurses and other heathcare professionals, in any area of practice, with the essential education in palliative care to effectively care for children and their families at the end of life. Note: This is not a train-the-trainer course.

Who Should Attend?Although geared to nurses, the course will benefit health care providers from all disciplines who work with children at the end of life and their families, including social workers and clergy.

MaterialsParticipants will receive program materials covered during the two-day workshop

Continuing EducationNursing: Up to 12.5 Contact Hours will be provided for full attendance at this workshop.

VCU Health is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Virginia Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Registration InformationThe registration fee includes program handouts, continuing education credit, continental breakfast, break refreshments, and luncheon. Minimum and maximum numbers for attendance at this event have been established, and we reserve the right to substitute speakers/topics, or cancel if necessary. Register early.

Cancellation PolicyFull refund, minus $15 processing fee for written cancellations postmarked by Friday, June 8, 2018. No refunds will be given for cancellations postmarked after this date.

LocationThe workshop will be held at the MCV Alumni House, located at 11th & Clay Streets on the MCV campus of VCU Health in Richmond, VA. Specific parking details will be sent in registration confirmation letters.

AccommodationsYou can book at either the Delta Hotels by Marriott Downtown Richmond at (804) 788-0900 or the Linden Row Inn at (800) 348-7424. Both of these hotels are a short distance from the MCV Alumni House on the MCV Campus of VCU Health where the course is held. The hotels also provide shuttle service.
