Skinner Blvd Street Use Characteristics

• Current condition of Skinner Blvd bifurcates Downtown District

• The Fred Marquis Pinellas County Trail System runs through the heart of Skinner Boulevard

• FDOT has taken a strong interest in Skinner Boulevard (Safety)

• FDOT has enhanced safety of Pinellas Trail Crossing by installing Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFB)

• FDOT and Forward Pinellas recognize expansive ROW could be considered for design options such as roundabouts

• The City of Dunedin has been planning for several years for the corridor of Skinner Boulevard

• City Commission support

• In closing, Skinner Boulevard (SR 580) will be a catalyst for positive transformative change to this area of Dunedin
