    By graduation, students have 12 months of work experience with as many as three different employers.

  • James worked on a virtual reality welding simulator for the government, learning how to integrate the Oculus Rift and Razer Hydra into the Unity 3D environment the artists had created

  • As a Co-op Software Developer at Versatile, you will help to build the control systems that operate their tractors. Including: engine, brakes, lights, steering, and hydraulics.

    You will actually drive the tractors to test your work!

  • Eligibility • Be a student in the Computer Science Major or Honours

    Degree Program

    • Have completed the majority of 2nd year required CS courses, with not less than 54 credit hours passed

    • Your GPA is important, but it’s not everything. Our minimum requirement is a 2.5 cumulative GPA

    • Some work, project, or volunteer experience will improve your application package

  • Inuktun Services Ltd.Inuktun Services Ltd. and the Human-Computer Interaction Lab here at the UofM have partnered on a cutting-edge research project: building touch screen interfaces for robots. On this work term you will make a multi-touch interface on a Microsoft Surface to remote control a robotic camera as shown on the right. You will be located in beautiful Nanaimo, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, where Inuktun designs and builds their custom robots, and will work closely but remotely with a UofM research team.

  • Required Skills• Strong programming skills and the ability to learn and

    adapt to new languages and frameworks• Strong GPA in core CS courses such as HCI, networking

    and operating systems• Experience with mobile programming, such as android,

    iPhone, or windows mobile development would be an asset• High enthusiasm for making cool technology!
