Every year, the WISD band program provides approximately six hundred

young people between the ages of 11 and 18 with music and performing-

arts skills. The experiences are as varied as par#cipa#ng with the State

Finalist Spirit of Waxahachie marching band, performing with one of ten

concert bands, including the State Champion WHS Wind Ensemble, chore-

ography and equipment-spinning through the Winter Guard program, UIL-

sanc#oned solo contests, or the award winning Jazz Orchestra.
