• Registration Planning:
Talk with your parents about planning your 2017-2018 class schedule at AMHS.
STEP 3
• Registration:Grade 11-March 27 Grade 10-April 3 Grade 9-April 17
• Registration will take place at home & counselors will be available at school to assist
•Be prepared by having your Skyward username and password

Graduation Requirements 4 years Language Arts 3 years Social Studies 3 years Math 2 years 1.5 PE & .5 Health 2 years Science (1 Lab, 1 Lab or Non-Lab) 1 year Occupational (CTE) 1 year Performing or Visual Arts + Electives to total a minimum of 22.5 credits
You will also need to pass: Required state testing in reading and writing (Smarter Balanced ELA) the Algebra or Geometry End of Course exam (EOC) or Smarter Balanced
Math the Biology End of Course exam (EOC) Washington State History complete and present your High School and Beyond Plan during senior year

• Look up classes your are interested in. Is it open to your grade level? Are there prerequisites?
• For four year college entrance requirements, look on pages 23 & 24.
• If you think you may participate in college athletics at the Division I or II level, NCAA requirements are listed on pages 19 – 22.
• Look on pages 26 – 30 to find out what type of credit/s your classes will count toward. (ex. CTE and/or Art)
Parent/Guardians and Students have separate login ID’s and passwords. For the registration process, students MUST use their login ID and password.
If you need your login ID and password, please contact the counseling or registrar’s office and they will direct you.
How to Register for Classes
Select the “Arena Scheduling” tab on the left after logging in.
Use the Period and/or Subject pop-down fields to select classes oruse the Search field in the lower right corner to search for class names.
Preview your schedule on the “Selected Classes” tab.

Registration Reminders• Please consider that you are choosing for the
entire year.
• Think carefully about your choices and write down on your registration form clearly. Include course codes.
• Have alternate plans when preparing for registration.
• Class changes cannot always be made and year-long class commitments must be fulfilled!

If you are credit deficient you must register for summer school.
Verify that you have all requirements that are required by the college or university you hope to attend.
Consider AP classes to prepare for college and beyond.
IF you forget or are unable to register during your specific time you will have another opportunity to register on the following day of your grade level’s registration date in the library before and after school, during lunch, or CORE/Choice.
