2016 Regina Rebels Spring Selection Camp  

Hockey Regina Inc. (HRI) and the Regina Rebels Female Midget AAA Hockey Club invite you to participate in the annual Regina Rebels Spring Camp. The camp will be held from April 14-16th at the Co-operators Centre at EVRAZ Place.

This year the camp will be the most critical step in the selection of the 2016-17 roster. The intent of Spring Camp will be to get as close to the final 2016-17 roster as possible including issuing formal commitments to a significant number of new players. A core roster of no more than 25 players, and most likely closer to 20 players or less, will be selected. This core roster will then participate in on and off ice training during the summer in readiness for the fall. The final roster will be set after the August Fall Camp, however, depending on the exact number of players kept, there will likely be very few, if any, releases. The Rebels are also looking seriously at attending a major Ontario showcase tournament in September. Because of the early roster selection this year, attending the Spring Camp is critical for any players born in 2002 through 1999 interested in playing for the Rebels in the 2016-17 year. The camp will include a skills session and a least 2 games for each participant and will be run by the Regina Rebels coaching staff. The camp will run over three days.

Important reminders: Any players on other AAA rosters in 2015-16 must obtain a release from their 2015-16 team prior to registering for the Rebels camp. In addition, any players AP’d to a AAA team for 2015-16, should not register for this camp until 48 hours after their 2015-16 team been eliminated and only if they have not signed a commitment letter with their 2015-16 team (AAA teams have 48 hours to sign/commit to their AP’s before they become free to all AAA teams).

To ensure a spot in this year’s camp registrations and payment must be received by March 25th. You may also e-mail completed registration forms to lynn.tulloch@sasktel.net however payment is still required by the March 25th deadline.

The complete Spring Camp schedule will be posted on www.ReginaRebels.ca. Please check the Rebels website the week leading up to the camp for final details and ice times. Players will not be individually contacted by phone or email with ice times.
