The 2016 Premium Spirit Release features a global selection of whiskies as well as a collection of other amazing spirits such as Armagnac, Cognac, Tequila and for a decadent treat, a whisky liqueur .

This year’s collection of premier spirits is an opportunity to explore the ever changing world of whisky and spirits . These unique products will appeal to both the enthusiast and the avid collector .

We have some extremely old and rare scotches this year, like the Macallan Lalique VI, a 65 year old, Bowmore 50 year old and the Balvenie 40 year old . There are extremely allocated and sought-after bourbons from Kentucky, as well as whiskies from Ireland, Wales, India and Canada .

There is also a large selection of single casks that were exclusively chosen for the BC Liquor Stores . These single casks were chosen for their exceptional quality and offer consumers a chance to have a truly unique product that will never be seen again .

MACALLAN LALIQUE VI – 65 YEAR OLDThis release completes The Macallan’s Six Pillars Collection with a 65-year-old Scotch whisky, one of the oldest and rarest ever released by the distillery . In the line with the preceding five expressions in the Six Pillars range, The Macallan Lalique Peerless Spirit is bottled in a bespoke Lalique crystal decanter . The expression, which has been aged in ex-Sherry casks, is limited to just 450 individually numbered decanters .

Two American Oak Sherry casks were filled on November 1950, providing the perfect vessels to slowly mature this perfectly balanced, rich and multifaceted whisky . After decades of careful nurturing and maturation, this single malt is a celebration of the mastery embedded in The Macallan, a true testament to the skill of each and every one of Macallan’s craftsmen .
