TERMS: Payment for advertising and related charges is due upon receipt of our invoice. A

1.5%-per-month finance charge will be applied to balances not paid within 30 days. Cash

discounts are not available.

COMMISSIONS: Sales commissions of 15% of the gross billing will be paid to contracted

agencies of record and forfeited on all accounts unpaid after 90 days from date of invoice.

The 15% commission is not available as a camera-ready discount to clients or firms who

only design and/or produce the ad materials. Recognized agencies of record are those

and buy all the media for that advertiser. However, all agencies must deliver camera-ready

materials to the Publisher to qualify for the agency commission.

RATES: Earned rates — Advertisers may run different-sized ads under their frequency discount

rates. No cash rebates will be made on earned rates. Short rates — Advertising ordered at

frequency discount rates and not earned within the year will be rebilled at the earned rate.

COPY AUTHORIZATION: All advertisements are accepted and published by Publisher

upon the representation that the agency and/or advertiser is authorized to contract

placement for and publish entire contents of the ad. In consideration of Publisher’s

acceptance of such advertisements, the agency and/or advertiser will indemnify and hold

Publisher harmless from and against any loss of expense resulting from claims or suits for

defamation, libel, violation of privacy, plagiarism and copyright infringement. Publisher is

not responsible for errors in key numbers.

COPY ACCEPTANCE: Publisher reserves the right to reject any advertising. Advertising

resembling editorial copy/layout may be marked “Advertisement” by Publisher. Any

references to publication in advertising, promotions or merchandising by advertisers are

subject to Publisher’s approval.

COPYRIGHTS: Business North Carolina shall own all advertising for which it has

provided design and/or copy-writing services, including all copyrights relating thereto. All

such advertising and related materials will be copyrighted for exclusive use in Business

North Carolina.

CANCELLATIONS: All cancellations must be in writing and are not accepted after

published space closing dates. Contracts for cover insertions cannot be canceled.
