Among the nearly 1,000 guests in attendance were prominent community leaders Steven Del Duca, MPP Vaughan & Minister of Transportation; Francesco Sorbara, MP Vaughan-Woodbridge; Vince Crisanti, Councillor Ward 1 Etobicoke North & Deputy Mayor of Toronto; Regional Councillor & Deputy Mayor of Vaughan Michael DiBiase; Vaughan Regional Councillor Mario Ferri; and celebrity chef David Rocco. Led by Mr. Peter Cipriano, CEO of Goldpark Group and president of Irpinia Club, sponsors and supporters, with many in the home construction industry within the Greater Toronto Area, opened their hearts and wallets to give $351,500 to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre’s Geriatric Medicine Division. Inspired by the generosity of colleagues, Peter Cipriano once again matched the donations to bring the total amount raised to a spectacular $703,000 for the evening. Proceeds from the event will continue to expand the fellowship program to train doctors in geriatric care at Sunnybrook. Providing physicians training and practical experience in the medical and social challenges faced by the elderly will, longer-term, positively impact medical care for seniors throughout Canada.

Sunnybrook receives $703,000 for seniors health care

SEPTEMBER 30, 2016 – It was a magnificent Ballo Autunnale as Irpinia Club and members of the Italian community, local businesses, and their families, friends and acquaintances came out in force to celebrate this annual Fall ritual, and especially to show their support for the senior community.

The sold-out event was held at the Riviera Parque in Vaughan. Among the nearly 1,000 guests in attendance were prominent community leaders Steven Del Duca, MPP Vaughan & Minister of Transportation; Francesco Sorbara, MP Vaughan-Woodbridge; Vince Crisanti, Councillor Ward 1 Etobicoke North & Deputy Mayor of Toronto; Regional Councillor & Deputy Mayor of Vaughan Michael DiBiase; Vaughan Regional Councillor Mario Ferri; and celebrity chef David Rocco.
