• Backup, Backup, Backup!!!• Backup the DYNAMICS database and all

company databases• Year End Update can be applied now• Payroll – Create your 2015 Year End Wage File

before applying 2016 Payroll Tax Table Update

• General Ledger – Verify all accounts are set to the correct posting type before closing GL

• General Ledger – Print the YE close report as this is only a one time report

Important Items….Continued• Fixed Assets – Remember to close Fixed

Asset before running depreciation in the new fiscal year

• Plan Ahead - If you need assistance applying the Year End Update or closing modules please schedule a time soon.

• If you need to report on ACA, now is the time to get a plan in place.

• Year End Update is cumulative so will include all previous releases for your GP version (ie: SP2 or R2)

new year• Create a new Fiscal Year• If you are unsure, copy your live

company into a test company and complete the steps there first
