Lance Reeve, director, food safety services innovation of AIB International

Lance Reeve is director of food safety services innovation for AIB International. He has held a variety of roles at AIB, including food safety auditor, project coordinator, director of food defense and

global innovation manager. In his current role, he provides research in emerging food safety issues, oversees new product development, facilitates cross-functional team participation, and monitors breaking food safety advancements or failures. In response to the events of 9/11 and changing food industry regulations, Lance established AIB’s food defense department as the leading global provider of food defense training, services, and innovative resources. He co-authored AIB’s “Guide to Food Defense,” co-developed AIB’s certified “Food Defense Coordinator” course, and developed AIB’s Food Defense Evaluation, which has become the U.S. Military Food Defense Audit Standard.

Steven Taylor, Ph.D., co-founder and co-director of the Food Allergy Research and Resource Program

Steven Taylor, Ph.D., is co-founder and co-director of the Food Allergy Research and Resource Program, and is a professor with the Department of Food Science

and Technology at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. His research interests center on food allergies, including the determination of threshold doses for allergenic foods and the effect of food processing on food allergens. He received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of California–Davis, and his BS and MS in Food Science and Technology from Oregon State University.

Prince brings more than 40 years of food industry experience to the table, starting in 1967 at the Jewel Companies until his retirement from The Kroger Co. as director of corporate

Christine Cochran, executive director of the Grain Foods Foundation

Christine Cochran has served as executive director of the Grain Foods Foundation (GFF) since August 2012. Cochran comes to the GFF after serving as president of a Washington-based trade association, representing commodity futures exchanges and exchange participants. She is noted for building

coalitions and working with influencers in Washington, and has worked with lawmakers, regulators and other associations. She also served as coordinator for the Alliance for Agricultural Growth and Competitiveness and as the AG section co-chair for Women In International Trade. When not advocating the goodness of grain in the American diet, Cochran remains active in managing her late grandparents’ wheat farm in Kansas.

Robb MacKie, president/CEO American Bakers Association — Regulatory Issues

Robb MacKie, president and CEO of the American Bakers Association (ABA), is the chief advocate and spokesperson for the $102-billion wholesale baking industry. A leader in the Washington

business community, he is a board member of the Business Industry Political Action Committee (BIPAC); is a member of the Chamber of Commerce’s Committee of 100; and participates on the Kansas State University’s Grain Science Advisory Committee.
