The Regional Statistical Services Office (RSSO) XI had religiously accomplished the submission of required clean data files / statistical tables, narrative reports and financial reports of all the statistical surveys.

2. 2012 Census of Agriculture and Fisheries (CAF)
On September 29-30, 2015, PSA XI convened all the Provincial Statistics Officers (PSOs) and some selected regional and provincial staff for the conduct of Data Evaluation on 2012 CAF results.

The validation focused more on the area data of some agricultural commodities which the team considered as beyond the acceptable levels. Each Provincial Statistics Office presented its respective validated estimates for plenary discussion.

II. Statistical Planning and Coordination
26th National Statistics Month Celebration The celebration of the 26th National Statistics Month in Davao Region with the theme “Pagyamanin at Gamitin ang Estadistika, Kalusogan Para sa Lahat ay Abot Kamay na” kicked off with the opening ceremony on October 1, 2015 held at the Grand Regal in Davao City sponsored by the Department of Health XI.
On October 2, 2015 an NSM press conference was held at the Royal Mandaya Hotel in Davao City.
PSA XI conducted the following in-house activities for the month-long celebration;
• Basic Mathematics Training on October 9 and 16, 2015 for two batches. The objective of the training was to guide those PSA XI employees who were not yet Civil Service Professional Exam passer to have a refresher course on basic mathematics.
• Statistical Quiz held on October 23, 2015, the contestants were representatives from
regional and provincial offices of PSA. There were 12 contestants who battled for the quiz. The questions covered their knowledge on statistics, current events and survey operations and projects of PSA.
• Display of Banner and Statman Selfie Stand for the whole month of October 2015, it aimed as an information dissemination tool to the general public and to appreciate the celebration in the trending manner. Various statistical data were exhibited in the banner stand at the strategic location of the office.

The closing ceremony sponsored by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Davao in cooperation with the PSA XI was highlighted with the conduct of the First National Statistics Month Quiz Bee and the Culmination Program. The First National Statistics Month Quiz Bee was held on the morning of October 30, 2015 at the conference room of the BSP Davao. The contest was open to all Grade 10 pupils in public school in Davao City with one participant per school. In the afternoon, the Culmination Program was conducted, one of the speakers was Dr. Sophremiano Antipolo, visiting professor of the University of Southern Philippines.

III. Statistical Frameworks and Indicators System
Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP)
PSA-RSSO XI prepared and finalized the 2012-2014 GRDP estimates for Region XI. Selected staff participated in the validation of estimates at the PSA Central Office in Quezon City in July 2015.
A news conference was conducted on July 30, 2015 at the Garden Oases, Davao City in order to disseminate the final estimates to the public. Interim Regional Director (IRD) Jaime S. Paller of PSA XI presented the results, while Director Maria Lourdes D. Lim of National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) XI gave the official statement of NEDA XI. The event was covered by various local media organizations in Region XI.

Millennium Development Goals (MDG) Watch
The PSA-RSSO XI released the 2015 Davao Region's Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) Watch on August 1, 2015.
The MDG Watch is a compilation of the MDG indicators in the sub-national/regional levels.

V. Human Resource and Administrative Services PSA-RSSO XI conducted the following events to equip its officers and staff with relevant training, harmonized outputs, and plan for the 2016 activities. Framework for the Development of Environment Statistics (FDES) PSA RSSO XI conducted the Training on the United Nations 2013 Framework for the Development of Environment Statistics (2013 FDES) held last December 15-17, 2015 at Eden Nature Park, Davao City. The training was participated by selected PSA regional and provincial personnel, as well as the invited representatives from the environment-related office in the local government units. A team of lecturers from PSA Central Office headed by IAS Chief Eduardo Eugene P. Dee lectured on the UN Revised 2013 FDES Compilations of the six (6) components.
Harmonization Workshop PSA RSSO XI conducted a Harmonization Workshop of Field Outputs of Agricultural Surveys last March 19, 2015 at PSA XI Conference Room, Davao City. The workshop aimed to accomplish and decide the required standard output of the entire agricultural surveys (conducted by former Bureau of Agricultural Statistics) to come up with the budget and manpower requirements. IRD Jaime S. Paller spearheaded the workshop together with SOCD Caretaker Henry Soriano and Stat Leah Magracia. Subsequently, PSA RSSO XI conducted another workshop last April 7, 2015 for the Finalization of Agricultural Statistics activities for 2015 Budget. The workshop aimed to finalize the 2015 budget of the agricultural statistics surveys of PSA Davao Region by activities such as trainings, operation, manual and machine processing, data dissemination and data reviews. The Interim Provincial Statistics Officers (IPSO), the Provincial Agricultural Statistics Officers (PASO) and regional staffs were the involved personnel of this activity.

Regional Planning Workshop (RPW) The PSA XI conducted its 2016 Regional Planning Workshop (RPW) last December 21-23, 2015 held at the Grand Regal Hotel, Km. 7 Lanang, Davao City. The purpose of this workshop was to assess what had been done during the year, and to organize and plan for various activities of the office that needs to be achieved for the coming year. This activity was spearheaded by OIC-RD Rosendo M. Aya-ay and attended by IPSOs, OIC-Chiefs, statisticians and administrative staffs of the regional and provincial offices.

2014 Report on the Economic Performance of Davao Region News Conference
On July 30, 2015, a News Conference on the release of the 2014 Report on the Economic Performance of Davao Region was conducted at The Ritz Hotel-Garden Oases, Davao City. The 2014 estimates of the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) were presented by IRD Jaime S. Paller. Director Ma. Lourdes D. Lim of NEDA XI delivered the official statement of her agency pertaining to the 2014 GRDP results. Ms. Vivian R. Ilarina of PSA Central Office served as Resource Person.

Regional Data Dissemination on 2013 FLEMMS
The 2013 Functional Literacy Education and Mass Media Survey (FLEMMS) results were released through a Regional Data Dissemination Forum held on November 10, 2015 at The Ritz Hotel-Garden Oases in Davao City. IRD Jaime S. Paller presented the background while DHSD Chief Benedicta Yabut of PSA Central Office delivered the highlight of the said survey. Representatives from Department of Education (DepEd) XI, Commission on Higher Education (CHED) XI and NEDA XI acted as the discussants during the event.

Data Dissemination Forum on Small Area Estimates of Poverty
In the last quarter of 2015, PSA-RSSO XI hosted a data dissemination forum on the 2012 Small Area Estimates (SAE) of poverty attended by personnel from PSA field offices of Regions XI, XII and Caraga and representatives from the academe, government agencies, and LGUs. The event was held on December 2-3, 2015 at the SMX Convention Center in SM Lanang, Davao City. Dr. Zita VJ Albacea, the Executive Director of Philippine Statistical Research and Training Institute (PSRTI) and a consultant on SAE of poverty, was the resource speaker during the event. Invited discussants were Ms. May Valentin of Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) XI and Dr. Sophremiano Antipolo of Ateneo de Davao University (AdDU).

Library
An improved PSA-RSSO XI library was opened to the public in January 2015. It contains a wide collection of statistical publications and reference materials on various concerns, both local and international, from the libraries of former Bureau of Agricultural Statistics (BAS), National Statistical Coordination Board (NSCB) and National Statistics Office (NSO). Walk-in clients are free to use the new library from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with no noon break, Mondays to Fridays.

2. Library Sales
The PSA-XI library sold eight publications with a total worth of P 11,415.00.

VII. Partnerships and Linkages
A. Regional Broiler and Swine Information - Early Warning System (RBSI-EWS)
RBSI-EWS is a joint undertaking of Department of Agriculture, National Meat Inspection Service, and Philippine Statistics Authority. Other collaborating agencies are the National Economic Development Authority and the Local Government Units.
It is a highly collaborative endeavor geared toward enhancing the Broiler and Swine Information System for the generation of food security early warning indicators. This project specifically aimed to enhance also the organization, network and access of unified data holdings within and among DA Livestock agencies. It has also strengthened linkages with the private agribusiness stakeholders through access and exchange of information.
For the year 2015, the project team has prepared and presented four situation reports to the Regional Steering Committee , which were as follows: 1.) Broiler Situation Report for July-December 2014, 2.) Broiler Situation Report for January-December 2014, 3.) Swine Situation Report for July-December 2014, and 4.) Swine Situation Report for January-December 2014.
B. Philippine Statistics Quiz PSA-RSSO XI conducted the 24th PSQ Regional Championships on November 10, 2015 at the Ritz Hotel at Garden Oases, Davao City. There were 10 schools, with 28 students which participated the activity. The PSQ regional champion was Isaac Edron Jones Orig from the San Pedro College of Davao. The runner-ups were Kim Hurryl O. Longos, 2nd Place from University of Mindanao - Tagum and Obbrei M. De Ocampo 3rd Place from the San Pedro College of Davao.

The PSQ is an annual contest designed to test freshman college students’ knowledge of statistics. One of its objectives is to assess the competency and skills of students in statistics as acquired from the secondary education curriculum.
