2015-2016 USA Volleyball Season

IMPORTANT NOTES FIRST!

• If you will keep score or work as second referee for your team, you must complete the respective courses for each of those; see pages 4-5.

• If you will be the Libero tracker or will work as a line judge for your team, you must complete the respective courses for each of those as well; see pages 5-6.

• NOTE: Scorers and Libero trackers should view all modules listed on page 5.

IMPORTANT NOTES FIRST!

• NO CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION is emailed after viewing the course. No worries!

• The OVR will rely on each team and club to ensure it’s players are properly educated in the responsibilities of support crew/work team duties.

Junior Second Referee Modules

• US203 – Junior Second Referee• US205 – Junior Signals (NEW)• US219 – Net and Center Line Rules (NEW)

At a minimum, the following Junior Training Modules should be completed by a junior second referee:

Junior Scorer/Libero TrackerModules

• US601 – Libero Control• US605 – Scoring Basics, Non-deciding set• US619 – Scoring, Deciding set (NEW)

You will now see the list of JuniorTraining Materials. Scroll through either column with the blue slider bar at the right of each column.

Click on any module from the list, and a pop-up screen will appear.

Click “Play Material.” DO NOT select “Yes – Get Credit”.

A new window will open to play the video module. It includes the approximate length of the module.

Parents and spectators are encouraged to view the SpectatorTraining Materialsto be educated about USAV rules.

1. I WILL NOT harass or intimidate the officials, including line judges and scorers.

2. I WILL NOT participate in any game or game-like activities unless I have a current membership with USA Volleyball.

3. I WILL NOT bring and/or carry any firearms at any USA Volleyball event.

4. I WILL NOT bring, purchase, or consume alcohol at any Youth/Junior volleyball event.

• After completing the online curriculum, you will need final evaluation on-court by a professional certified referee to become certified as a junior second referee or scorer. Line judges and Libero trackers do not need to be certified.

• OVR junior certifications are good for two seasons.
