team in the office, including 11 CSR pioneers representing every
business and supporting unit.
In 2014, we hosted totally 10 Committee Meetings. We organised 2 sports

At the 2015 AKM (5 January, 2015), we received official acknowledge from
the Managing Director of MCI China!

Our logo – CSR Pioneers!
In Chinese, bee has the same pronunciation as the
“Pioneer”.
The two tentacles are using MCI colors, representing
MCI.
“Green wings” represents the plants; “blue body”
symbolises the sea, which illustrate our commitment to
protecting the earth.
We use this logo to deliver this message “we are MCI
CSR ‘bees’ (pioneers), dedicating to spread Sustainability
Spirit around MCI flowers / among our colleagues. “

Since it was born in the Kitchen, this
entertaining white board have offered us a
unique information exchange portal to
exchange different topics, team’s news etc.
..
4. Community Action
MCI China generated totally EUR 5,000 donation value in the past year.
• Charity run together with Starwood group: MCI’s 50 staff generated CNY 5,000 for
children from minority nationalities.
• Dream Day in July: over 50 staff attended the Dream Day at a Charity Community
- YueMiao Garden where over 60 handicapped children living. A detailed report is
attached separately.
• MCI China donated close to CNY 4,000 for the Nepal Project. Also two staff of MCI
China participate in this charity project in Nepal.
• Also first time ever, we hosted a unique Auction at the AKM’s Gala Dinner and
collected EUR 3,400 . All the money will be given to the YueMiao Garden to buy
winter clothes.
5. Sales
• We include MCI sustainability service
introduction into all of our M&E and PCO
proposals.
6. The “X” Factor Innovation
• The 2014 MCI China Dream Day was totally innovative! To fulfill what our
slogan said “Dream Big, Dream Together”, instead of sharing dreams
within the MCI family, we ‘painted’ the dreams with the children who
needed our help an care. The children loves the gifts and the games we
prepared for them!!
• The community action did not stop on the single day…On the 2015 AKM
(5 January) , we first ever embedded the Auction session in our Gala
Dinner, totally collected over EUR 3,400 to buy winter clothes for the
children.
• Another innovation in the sustainability leadership is that the whole CSR
Committee Members received Certificates from Managing Director in front
of all of the staff – not only increasing the awareness of the Committee,
but also giving the whole team high acknowledge and respect! We feel
proud to be part of the team!
Sustainability
creates
possibilities. Let’s
continue to seize
the possibilities
and turn them into
opportunities in
2015.
