The winter of 2013-2014 was one of the driest in California’s history with Napa Valley receiving only half of its average rainfall. But, with respect to grape quality, there was good news: heavy rains in February and early March gave the vines emerging from dormancy a rejuvenating boost. Furthermore, the overall dry season resulted in smaller berry size with concentrated characteristics that added depth to the fruit’s inherent flavors.

A portion of our 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from our Heide Ranch vineyard, one of the latest additions to our impressive vineyard portfolio. Located in the eastern part of the Napa Valley Appellation, this region produces exceptionally ripe fruit, giving our Cabernet Sauvignon the bold and rich f lavors that aficionados everywhere have grown to love.

This is a wine to be savored with hearty fare like grilled meats, chops, strong cheeses such as bleu and camembert or rich chocolate desserts.

FLAVORS & AROMAS: Ripe currant, black cherry, rich dark chocolate and fresh spearmint.

STYLE: Full-bodied with soft tannins, a velvety mouthfeel and a long, lingering finish.
