Tampa, Fla.April 17-20, 2014

Welcome to the 2014 American Athletic Conference Women’s Tennis Championship hosted by the University of South Florida. Matches will take place at the Varsity Courts, with the opening rounds beginning on Thursday and extending through Sunday’s final.

Houston enters the tournament as the top seed for the inaugural Championship and will face the winner of Thursday’s match between No. 8 seed Cincinnati and No. 9 seed UConn. Memphis is seeded No. 2, and is set to face the winner of No. 7 seed Temple and No. 10 seed UCF. Seeding is based on Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings, with head-to-head results serving as the secondary criteria.

The winner of the 2014 American Athletic Conference Women’s Tennis Championship receives an automatic bid to the 33rd Annual NCAA Championship. First and Second Round competition will begin on May 15-17 on campus sites still to be determined, with the bracket culminating at the NCAA Finals in Athens, Ga. at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex on May 26.
