1. Computer course

The girls who are staying at Jisu Nam Ashrom have started a computer course. This computer course will continue for three months. This course started on the 1st April 2014 and it will be over at the end of June 2014. Mr. Sanjay Maijee is our computer teacher. He comes at Jisu Nam Ashram at 3.30 P.M and goes home at 5 P.M. There are 12(twelve) students in this course. Their names are: Champa Munda, Chondona Munda, Onjona Munda Shaionti Munda, Fuldashi Munda, Shopna Munda, Sumita Munda, Kalpona Munda, Suchitra Munda, Parul Munda, Joysree Munda and Sulota Munda.

2. New house

A new house is being built up at Jisu Nam Ashram. The old house was a dormitory for several girls staying at Jisu Nam Ashram but it was falling down: the roof was not fixed properly and during the rainy season the girls had to sleep under an umbrella. T he floor was all broken and frogs and snakes came in very often. So the old house has been demolished and a new one is coming up. Masons and laborers are at work. We hope to have a new beautiful house within the end of June.

3. Drinking water

We have been facing a great problem for drinking water at Jisu Nam Ashrom this year. Here there are many tanks used for harvesting rain water, but this year so far we have not had any rain so our tanks are empty. Therefore we have to go here and there to look for drinking water. Mr. Golok Munda everyday takes two containers on his by-cycle and goes out in search of water.

4. Pond sand filter

We have a pond filter which is very useful for us. But for a few

months it had not been running properly. Now it has been repaired

and we can wash plates, wash our clothes; use that water for

bathing and so on. Pond filter

5. Marriages

The director of SAMMSS is Nilima Munda. She got married with Mr.

Ruidas Munda on the 21st of April 2014.

Debjani Ray, a neighbour and a very good friend of ours also got married

on the 1st of May 2014. We were invited to attend the marriage

ceremonies of both Nilima Munda and Debjani Ray.
