w Welcome to the 2013 Reunion Voyage!

Semester at Sea is the only global education program of its kind in the world. Using a ship as our traveling campus, undergraduate students, lifelong learners, faculty, and staff live and learn together while circumnavigating the globe, experiencing multiple-country study, interdisciplinary coursework, and hands-on field excursions along the way.

Since 1963, Semester at Sea has launched 111 voyages, educated more than 60,000 alumni from 1,700 institutions, and traveled to more than 60 countries. Visit www.semesteratsea.org to learn about our history, access useful facts and figures, and meet the leaders behind our long-standing global education program.

SeMeSTeR AT SeA ANNUAL FUND

Supporting SAS Through Philanthropy

EVERY GIFT COUNTSSemester at Sea’s success into the future depends on funds that are made possible because of our generous alumni, parents, and friends. Your donation to the SAS Annual Fund directly impacts the operating budget of Semester at Sea. Your gift can extend the educational experience of a lifetime to deserving students in need or it can help support faculty who are dedicated to the students they serve. Consider making a tax-deductible gift to Semester at Sea today. Thank you in advance for your generosity!

ESTABLISh A NAMED SChOLARShIP

The SAS Alumni Scholars Program provides a unique and affordable way to name a scholarship. With a three-year commitment to make an annual gift of $1,000 or more, you can establish a scholarship and provide deserving students with tuition assistance for upcoming voyages. Because these funds are a part of the SAS Annual Fund and not endowed, your entire gift will immediately benefit student recipients.

After making their pledge, donors will receive profiles of the students in financial need who will benefit from their generosity during upcoming voyages. Students receiving assistance through the SAS Alumni Scholars Program will be given the name and contact information of their donor and are encouraged to correspond with the donor who has made their Semester at Sea experience possible. Typical donor/student interaction may include email and/or letters throughout the voyage.

If you have questions about the SAS Alumni Scholars Program or would like to establish a scholarship, please contact SAS Annual Fund Director, Liz Fleming, at 434.243.4358 or [email protected] or visit www.semesteratsea.org/give.
