From the GOVERNOR

Boy, went by fast with a bang. We had the 4th of July BBQ and horseshoe tournament. A good time was had by all. With that said we move to the luau. Steve Parana was appointed chairman this year and he started with a patio renovation along with several loom members. They really got things going. They took time from their busy schedules to help fix up the moose. We would like to thank the following people for doing so. Gary Ratzlaff for his time to installing the TV on the patio. Joe Grooms who re-built and welded up the pig pit for roasting the pig. Matt Freeman for building the gazebo for the mai tai bar. Looks great. Well done. Don Lyons for taking tine from his schedule to paint the place up making the moose look good. Greg Fogle for the bamboo set-up fine job. Bill Sampson for doing the concrete and planting the trees. Looks really good, fine job. Tim Doud for spending many hrs. placing bricks around the patio, looks great. Jack Carr for all the hrs. he spent working putting the bricks in place around the trees, thanks Jack. Steve Parana for donating his time and equipment for the patio. Al Carmona for helping over seeing the project and putting many hours helping. Dennis Hansen for taking time to prepare the pig, Roast the pig all night .Great job Dennis, it tasted GREAT. Lets not forget his helpers, Eli Sechrist and Matt Freeman. We sure don’t want to forget the WOTM kitchen crew for cooking and serving the food Lucille Juarez, Ruth Funk, Jeanene Bahamonde, Dee Ange-les, Patty Janzen, Angie Arroyo, Mary Ellen Munoz, Cheryl Volden, Andrea Watanabe Great job ladies, we do have some more activi-ties coming up. On Aug.17th the WOTM Comedy Night. Also many thanks to Eve Mora for donating plants and bushes and getting all the raffle prizes. “coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is SUCCESS.” REX
