2013 AACRAO Annual Meeting

Cassandra Smith Moore Assistant Director
Enrollment Development & Admissions
Anne Arundel Community College Arnold, MD
“
“Choice architects organize the
context in which people make
decisions. People can be
influenced to make decisions
based upon how an
opportunity is presented.”
Nudge: Improving Decisions about
Health, Wealth and Happiness
Richard Thaler and Cass R. Sunstein
Personal Registration Day (PRD), or on-site priority
registration, is when Anne Arundel Community
College supplies the architecture for Anne
Arundel County high school students to make the
decision to enroll in college.
Personal Registration Day, or on-site priority registration,
allows Anne Arundel Community College to assist in the
development of a “college-going” culture in our county’s
high schools and foster the belief that “college is
possible and a part of their future.”
“This the story about partnerships and
what happens when a community
college, high school guidance counselors
and principals work toward the common goals of
securing post-secondary commitments for graduating
high school seniors and early college participation for
rising juniors and seniors.”
Cassandra Moore
