in their tracks. The men rigged spruce beams, support poles, wood rungs and wire into a suspended

with Bolivian Rosewood on the sides; limbs are

fashioned with action Maple cores, faced with

carmel colored glass and backed with a brown

glass sleekly radiused for precision shooting.

Purple Heart. The tips are layered with brown

and white fi berglass, and hand fi nished to

accommodate modern bow strings.

Finally the grip is capped on the back with

moment came in 1969 when production

began on his famous Take-Down recurve bow.

The classic design was years ahead of its
