Duke University Talent Search

Paris ISD has participated in the Duke University Talent Search since

1984. To determine eligibility for participation, the Talent Search

identifi es academically talented 7th graders based on standardized test

scores. Candidates may choose to complete either the SAT Reasoning

Test or the ACT Assessment college entrance examination. Students

who score at certain levels on the ACT or SAT are invited to attend

a State Recognition Ceremony. In addition to the State Recognition

Ceremony, students with the highest scores are honored at the Grand

Recognition Ceremony at Duke University.
