    1/13

    The Omaha DynastyIchiban- Jeff Leise

    Record: 3-10 (No Playoffs)

    Total Points: 1293.25 (10th

    Overall)

2012 Recap: Expectations were extremely low for Leise. His hopes for this season were probably

somewhere along the lines of 1) Andrew Luck please be for real 2) Be competitive in a couple of games

and maybe pull off some upsets and 3) Develop some other players to build for the future. The first two

were reasonable accomplished and the third is a little more debatable/not happening. Andrew Luck is

for real. It is only a matter of time before he consistently throws for 30 touchdowns and 4500 yards.

Leise finished the season with a 3-10 record with wins over Naughton, Kelley and Svehla, theoretically, spoiling Kelley and Naughtons playoff chances. His total points were the worst, but what could we/he

expect. As far as developing other players, talent is available on the roster, but nobody solidified

themselves as even dependable. GRADE: (C) Leise developed a starting QB and pulled off a couple of

    unexpected wins.

Wish List: Anything and everything. A desperate man will make deals with the devil to get back on top.

    (Wall Street)

Historical Context: Leises historical stock continues to drop. Once a top three owner in the league, he

could be down as far as 6th

    or 7th

    .

Draft: (A+) Anytime you draft a potential hall of fame QB and that player proves himself throughout the

year you win. Lucks basement is Philip Rivers and his ceiling is Aaron Rodgers. Easily someone Leise can

build around. Alshon Jeffrey was not that effective this year, but could develop into a respectable

receiver. It will be interesting to see his growth living in Brandon Marshalls shadow. The only other

notable pick for Leise was Jake Locker. Definitely a project, but no pressure on Leise to make a decision

as Luck is his man for the future.

Waiver: (C) Greg Zuerlein aka Legatron is a beast and can really boot those long field goals. An extremely

valuable asset because of our 10 point rule for 50+ field goals (A rule I hope we change. Really a 50 yard

fg equivalent to a 100 rushing day? Close to all RBs dont average a 100 yards a game.) Daryl Richardsoncould be dangerous after Steven Jackson leaves St Louis, but not sure Daryl has showed much in the

carries he received to warrant a roster spot next year.

Trades: (B+) Gave Pryor Larry Fitzgerald for Justin Blackmon and 1st Round Pick. Leise gave up on his last

link to the glory seasons when he traded Fitz. Trades should never be evaluated until at least 3 years

have passed. My initial reaction was that it was pretty equal. Fitz is obviously more talented, but he is

stuck in purgatory with those awful QBs in Arizona. Fitz was more useful as an asset then as a WR for

  • 7/28/2019 2012 Season Recap

    2/13

The Omaha Dynastyteam Leise. Blackmon woke up late in the season and could be a top 20 receiver in the future. It was/is agood risk for Leise and he wont have to deal with Fitz being upset about the teams lack of success.

MVP: Andrew Luck. Mediocre fantasy season, but looked great for a rookie. I expect nothing less than

Leises second born to be named Andrew Luck Leise.

Least Valuable Player (LVP): Nobody and everybody. I cant find one player on his team that had any

expectations to be good. They were all equally bad.

Outlook for Next Year: More of the same. I dont see team Leise putting together a team that could

compete for a points title or make the playoffs. He will have the 1st

pick for next years draft, but I dont

see a top flight player equivalent to Luck. His goals should be similar to this year, win a couple of gamesand develop some players.

Outlook 3 years: Hard to say. I would say the safe bet is the bottom half of the league. Leise should

continue to earn high draft picks and the fantasy football landscape changes very quickly. Leise has

always been a savvy manager and I think he should be able to claw back to the middle of the

pack/competing for a playoff spot. I mean it cant get worse.can it?

    Stinky Pinkies- Sean Kelley

    Record: 4-9 (No Playoffs)

    Total Points: 1515.15 (9th

    Overall)

2012 Recap: Improvement. Kelleys team improved this year and the roster is starting to develop into a

solid squad. He probably was hoping to make the playoffs, but fell a game short and probably was not

even that close to the playoffs. His final record was 4-9 and he finished ( ) in overall points. The season

was a step in the right direction, especially compared to his first three seasons. Kelley received solid

seasons from Denarius Moore, Tony Gonzalez and Shonn Greene. These players along with some

development from some young talent could push Kelley into the playoffs. The biggest story of Kelleys

season was off the field and in the front office.

Wish List: A stud at WR or RB and the playoffs. Playoffs?!? You talking about Playoffs?!? I just want to

    win a game. (Mora)

Historical Context: Probably 9th or 10th. Kelley still deserves a little pass as an expansion team, but it

shines a bright light on his franchise that Fyfe continues to improve and compete.

  • 7/28/2019 2012 Season Recap

    3/13

The Omaha DynastyDraft: (B) Selecting RGIII was a no brainer. He was easily the second most talented person on the boardand electric to boot. Kelley had a boat load of other picks, and the jury will be out on them for a while.

The ones to watch will be Steven Hill, Brandon Pettigrew and Rueben Randle.

Waiver: (A) Colin Kaepernick could be a steal and was a huge move to replace RGIII. Who knows

Kaepernick might end up being better than RGII. He definitely is more durable. Chris Givens might end

up being a solid receiver as he has shown flashes of solidness.

Trades: (C) RGIII, Mario Manningham and Robert Turbin for Joe Flacco, Roddy White and Reggie Bush.

This trade was polarizing the instant it hit the board. A lot of people were upset with Kelley and thought

he could have received more from the trade. He did get stronger at both receiver and running back,

while also keeping a solid backup QB. RGIII is a potential game breaking talent, but he may be Vickish in

terms of frailty (He tore his ACL in college and already a concussion and knee problem in his rookie

    year).

MVP: Matt Ryan. Ryan started out like a top flight QB. He looked like he might have made the jump to

top 5 QB. He stumbled down the stretch with some bad interception games and looked average. Still

had a solid season and was close to the top 5 in QBs.

LVP: Ryan Matthews. Big things were expected of him and he was injured right out of the gate. He had

scored 1 td through 14 games and was in a wordbad. He cant hold LTs jock.

Outlook for Next Year: Playoff contender. Kelley will be in the mix next year for the playoffs. He has

talent at all positions and might have a difference maker in Kaepernick.

Outlook 3 years: Small steps, yeah. Big Steps? i dont see it. Kelley still is missing lots of players to make

the jump as a points title contender. He needs to find some studs at WR/RB to make that happen. That

being said his next three years look a lot brighter than his last three years.

    Dancing Nancies- John Hargis

    Record: 5-8 (No Playoffs)

    Total Points: 1685.40 (8th

    Overall)

2012 Recap: Hargis, along with Naughton, received everyones best shot. In the 1steleven weeks Hargiss

opponent scored over 100 points every week except for week 8 vs. Svehla. The schedule did Hargis no

favors, but his team also had a down year. Cam Newton had a decent year, but nowhere near the

expectations coming off such a great rookie year. In fact, underachievement is the name of the game for

  • 7/28/2019 2012 Season Recap

    4/13

The Omaha DynastyTeam Hargis. LeSean McCoy and Fred Jackson were arguably the best RB tandem coming into the year. They both probably finished outside the top 20 for RBs. DeSean Jackson also played poorly and found

himself on the Injured reserve the last half of the season. Some bright spots for Team Hargis were the

play of rookie RB Alfred Morris and WR Eric Decker. They overachieved and should be mainstays on

Team Hargiss future. It should be noted that Hargis had made the playoffs every year until this year.

Wish List: Some of his players to make the jump from average/above average to above average/great.

Historical Context: Maybe Hargiss worst season as an Owner, hopefully, for him, not a sign of things to

    come.

Draft: (D) Hargis made no real future impact with his 2012 draft. He traded away his 1

    st

round pick toFyfe for replacement level player, Michael Crabtree, maybe missing out on Justin Blackmon. He drafted

RB Ronnie Hillman for the Bears, who is a project at this point and it is hard to project his future. The

other players, Willis McGahee and Anquan Boldin, were helpful for this season, but have no real future

    on Team Hargis.

Trades: (NG) No trades this year, but did receive Kevin Kolb, Cardinals D and Crabtree last year from Fyfe

    for Eagles D and 1st

    Rounder.

Waiver: (A) Alfred Morris was a great pickup at the beginning of the year. He had a top ten season for

RBs and should be a huge contributor down the road. Knowshon Moreno is an intriguing player for the

Broncos. At the beginning of his career he has supposed to be a big thing, but then fizzled out and lost

his starting job. He has come on recently, due to Willis McGahees injury, and could have some value

going forward, especially in a Manning led offense. Nice use of transactions by Team Hargis.

MVP: Alfred Morris and Cam Newton. Cam would have an argument as most valuable (he did finish in

top 5 QBs for fantasy points), but he also had some real stinkers and didnt live up to expectations from

his outstanding rookie season. Cam also had huge games after Team Hargis was eliminated from the

playoffs and Total Points. Alfred contributed every week and was Hargiss most dependable player. He

was only a top 10-12 back, but he was also a rookie with zero expectations.

LVP: LeSean McCoy. Shady McCoy was a machine last year and ended up with 20 TDs. This year he

struggled greatly and only managed 5 TDs before succumbing to injuries. He left a huge whole in

    production for Team Hargis.

Outlook for Next Year: Hargis should definitely be battling it out for a playoff spot and could be a dark

horse for Total Points. Cam is incredibly dangerous and is capable of being the top scoring QB. He could

use some help at receiver and maybe one more dynamic player to be a real contender.

  • 7/28/2019 2012 Season Recap

    5/13

The Omaha DynastyOutlook 3 Years: I dont see any huge strides beyond playoff contender. There is a gap between TeamHargis and the elites in the league. Hargis seems stable at QB and RB for the future. He really needs help

at WR and needs more dynamic players. Hargiss fans are asking Is he really a good GM? He has the

stats to back himself as a good GM, but that was mostly the result of a good 1st draft, when the league

was in its infancy. Once those players got old, Team Hargis tailed off. Hargis is pretty risk averse, but he

might have to make some moves to get back on top.

    The Untouchables- Joe Naughton

    Record: 3-10 (No Playoffs)

    Total Points: 1767.7 (6th Overall)

2012 Recap: QB just killed Naughton. Rivers, who was once compared to Dan Marino, was awful. No

that is too kind, he was puke. He cant seem to not fumble and throw interceptions. Flacco, who was

supposed to make the leap this year, was just as bad. These two combined for more single point games

then I can stomach to count. Naughton also played a beast of a schedule and lost many games due to

the other team going off. He received good years from Megatron and The Lawfirm. Naughton also

received a career year from the Bears Defense. All of that was for naught as the QBs floundered and

Naughton was forced to make decisions for the future.

Wish List: RGIIIs health. Naughton is dying for a complete quarterback and needs one to compete.

Historical Context: Naughton is probably rated 9th

    or 10th

in owners. He is this leagues Kansas City

    Royals.

Draft: (D+) The only player that Naughton drafted that might be useful down the road is Ryan Tannehill

at QB. He was a project to start with, but did win the QB job in Miami and competed at a decent level

for a rookie (It should be noted that Naughtons front office considered Russell Wilson, but backed off

b/c of his arm strength. Stupid!) Tannehill will have a place on the roster, but will need to show growth

next year. Naughtons other choices LaMichael James(cut), Louis Murphy(dropped) and Nate

Washington (useless) are not even deserving to be mentioned in one sentence.

Waiver: (C) Andrew Hawkins and TY Hilton are both small receivers that use speed and quickness to get

open. I like Hilton as a project, but think Hawkins does not have much room for improvement.

Trades: (B+) Traded Joe Flacco, Roddy White and Reggie Bush to Kelley for RGIII, Mario Manningham

and Robert Turbin. Manningham and Turbin are going to be cut next year. The big get was RGIII. He has

  • 7/28/2019 2012 Season Recap

    6/13

The Omaha Dynastyunreal upside, but a huge is a huge injury question mark. Just watching him run it seems he is fragile. Iworry that his biggest fantasy strength, running, will be his untimely demise. He was in and out of the

lineup all year because of injuries and looks awkward all the time on QB runs. The risk was worth it as

Naughton needed to roll the dice at the QB position.

MVP: Bears D. Through week 10 they were outscoring other defenses by almost 100 points. They cooled

off a lot after that, but were playing at a historic level up to that point.

LVP: Flacco and Rivers. What a couple of pukes.

Outlook for Next Year: Naughton has a solid chance at both playoff and Total Points contender. Big

questions will be RGIIs health and finding some consistent production at RB. Knowing Naughtonshistory we can safely predict both of those questions to be answered in the negative.

Outlook 3 years: Definitely a playoff contender with a decent chance at challenging for overall points.

Like the core of RGIII, Gronk and Megatron, and the organization should be able to build on those guys

to keep a competitive team. Could use a difference maker at RB, as the by committee does a decent job,

but leaves you wanting. Developing other guys will determine Naughtons chances at bigger things.

    Flock of Seagulls- Brian Nish

Record: 5-8 (Lost in quarterfinals/1st round to Carlberg/Gamblor)

    Total Points: 1724 (7th

    Overall)

2012 Recap: The Seagulls had a respectable season. He made the playoffs. He finished in the middle of

the pack for Total Points. Team Nish had a similar QB dilemma to Naughton. On paper these two, Matt

Stafford and Tony Romo, are studs. They both are capable of throwing for 5000 yards and 30 plus

touchdowns. The problem is that they were both extremely inconsistent and Nish was playing hot

potato with his lineup. Stafford was great for yards, but was pitiful for decision making and TDs. Romo

actually started playing better and more consistent down the stretch, but too late for Nish to make a

run. The Red Rifle (Andy Dalton) also had some monster weeks, adding to Nishs pain killer addiction.

Team Nishs running backs were the foundation of his team. Foster as good, though not spectacular, and

LeShoure and Bradshaw helped fill in as the second running back. Jones-Drews holdout and inconsistent

play were disappointing. Team Nishs wide receiving corps was..not good; Antonio Gates died, Aaron

Hernandez was injured and inconsistent, and Pierre Garcon had one awesome play in week 1 and

decided to mail in the rest of the year. Vincent Jackson was a beast. He had 8-9 weeks of double digit

  • 7/28/2019 2012 Season Recap

    7/13

The Omaha Dynastyscoring and many of his games were clutch TD catches. I think average would be the best way todescribe Nishs season.

Wish List: Stafford to differentiate himself and become Drew Brees of the North.

Historical Context: An average season for Nish. He didnt hurt or help himself with this season.

Draft: (B-) Nish had a good draft. Kendall Wright has not proven himself, but has shown signs of being a

productive receiver. Mikel LeShoure, Detroit RB, was a great pick as has been a steady force throughout

the season. These two players will have an opportunity to grow and produce with Team Nish.

Waiver: (C+) Cecil Shorts and Josh Gordon both have lots of potential and could be future fantasy top

    15. Shorts, especially, has been a beast of a player the second half of the season. He has had some game

breaking plays and has a chance to be special.

Trades: (NG) No trades for Team Nish this year.

MVP: Arian Foster. He scored in the high teens almost every week and was far and away the best player

on Nishs roster. He was the difference between average and bad for Team Nish.

LVP: Matt Stafford. Total underachieving year for Stafford. He was top five QB last year and stayed in the

top ten, but if he had even come close to the 30 TDs he had last year he would have been in the top

    three for QBs.

Outlook for Next Year: Nishs team is a little hard to gauge. I like Foster and MJD on a comeback year.

You would think he could get some consistent play out of a QB, but it might be that same shoot yourself

in the foot type season with his QBs. WR is a big question mark. Jackson should be good for top 15, but

after that we are looking at question marks. Final Word: Playoff contender, outside chance at competing

    for Total Points.

Outlook for 3 years: I see more of the same for Team Nish in the next couple of years. He does have

some interesting young players (C. Shorts, K. Wright and J. Gordon), but they are extremely hard to

project. Maybe one out of three makes it into top 15 receivers. I think Nishs team needs a shakeup for

the future, maybe not this next year, but in the coming years. Foster and/or Jones-Drew could beinteresting trade chips. The fans remember their Total Points title with Ragole and though they were

happy to see his militant ways leave, they are starting to wonder about their new owner. Can he take

    them back to the top?

    Lazarus- Nick Svehla

  • 7/28/2019 2012 Season Recap

    8/13

The Omaha DynastyRecord: 8-5 (Lost in quarterfinals/1

    st

    round to Pryor/Mannings Machine)

    Total Points: 1826.45 (4th Overall)

2012 Recap: Pretty good year for Team Svehla. He is the only franchise to make the playoffs every year

of the league He was one player away from being a serious contender for Total Points and Super bowl

contention. Brees had a down year, but was still in the top two for quarterbacks. He has been the face

of the franchise for years. Nicks receivers were awesome. Andre Johnson and Brandon Marshall were

studs and Randall Cobb was a fantastic addition as a third receiver. Running backs were a question mark

for Team Svehla and probably the place where nick was hurt the most. Stevan Ridley was good and will

be a staple for Nick going forward. Michael Turner was old. David Wilson has loads of potential, but was

bench material after that first week of fumbles. If only Nick could have found another running back he

could be riding away into the sunset with three total points titles..if only?

Wish List: Stevan Ridley to become a nut. Svehla was a RB away from competing for Total Points.

Historical Context: Svehla kept his playoff streak alive and competed. He lost a little footing as Carlberg

keeps moving himself up the ladder.

Draft: (B+) Svehla had two, David Wilson and Randall Cobb, very good draft picks. Wilson should

eventually take over for Bradshaw and he has the look of a top 12 RB. Cobb really benefited from the

Green Bay system, but also looks to be ready to take over as the #1 or #2 receiver in GB. Svehla also

drafted Rashard Jennings (who?) and Christian Ponder (worse than the Sanchize?).

Waiver: (C-) Alex Green, RB for Green Bay, and Brandon Lafell, WR Carolina, are both projects that

showed small promise. Unsure what to expect in the next couple of years.

Trades: (NG) No trades this year.

MVP: Drew Brees. Even in a down year, Brees was a monster. He has been a machine behind center

and probably the best QB over the last 5 years. He was a little inconsistent in some games, but for the

most part he was a dependable 30 points a week. He was a top two quarterback in the league.

LVP: I am tempted to say Michael Turner, but we knew he was on the decline and still averaged around8-10 points a week. On the other hand, Svehlas defenses (Steelers and Jets) were pretty bad this year

and their lack of production hurt his playoffs chances and Total Points chances.

Outlook for Next Year: Svehla should be in the running for the Super Bowl and Total Points next year. He

will still have Brees and that good receiving corps. It will depend on the RBs including the growth of

Ridley and David Wilson. A better defense is also on the wish list.

  • 7/28/2019 2012 Season Recap

    9/13

The Omaha DynastyOutlook for 3 years: Svehla will be near the top of the league for the next three years, but he has sometough questions to be answered including, most importantly, Who will replace Brees? and developing

some young receivers. Svehla has earned the benefit of the doubt that he will answer those questions

and his team will continue to compete at the top.

    Mannings Machine- Tom Pryor

Record: 7-6 (Lost in the Super Bowl to Gamblor-Carlberg)

    Total Points: 1779.1 (5

    th

    Overall)

2012 Recap: Pryors team was an explosive, scary, limited team. On one hand, he had the scariest

collection of RBs (Peterson, Lynch and CJ2K) and a top five QB in Manning. That 4 way combo was

capable of 100 to 120 points a week on their own. The flex position allowed Tom to use all three of

those RBs. On the other hand, his receivers were almost non-existent. Greg Jennings and Jordy Nelson

were injured and replaced for the most part in GB. Dwayne Bowe hit the injured reserve. Pryor made a

midseason trade for Larry Fitzgerald, but he (Larry) must have done something bad in a past life because

those QBs in Arizona are terrible. This didnt prevent Pryor from stalking his way to the Super Bowl, but

in the end, Gamblor was too much and Pryor didnt have the consistency to win. It will leave a bitter

taste in Team Pryors mouth. He has had a good team the last three years, but Carlberg has been in his

way. The historical context for Tom is being painted more as the Buffalo Bills than as the New England

    Patriots.

Wish List: A dominant receiver and Tonya Harding moving to Omaha to decapitate Lukes Tecmo Hand.

Historical Context: Pryor keeps coming up a step short.

Draft: (A) Pryor drafted very well with Justin Blackmon(1st Round) and Russel Wilson(5th Round). He

turned Blackmon into Larry Fitzgerald and Russel Wilson looks like a steal and could be a replacement

    for Manning.

Waiver: (C-) Danny Amendola and Felix Jones are both replacement level players. They can fill in during

bye weeks, but their use beyond that is limited. They are both high injury risks.

Trades: (C) Justin Blackmon and next year 1st

rounder for Larry Fitzgerald. Pryor gave up a prospect for a

stud stuck in a bad situation. Tom needed production at receiver, and if Arizona gets a QB that could be

    a significant upgrade.

  • 7/28/2019 2012 Season Recap

    10/13

The Omaha DynastyMVP: Adrian AD Peterson. What a stud! Peterson is potentially going to be the best ever. Man cant bestopped.

LVP: Greg Jennings or Jordy Nelson. Pryor just needed one of these guys to produce and combined they

    were hardly a productive receiver.

Outlook for Next Year: Pryor should still be competitive for Total Points and Super Bowl. It seems he just

cant get the team to click all in the same year. Maybe next year??

Outlook 3 years: Pryor has a good foundation for his team. There is a little instability with Manning

getting older and we all know running backs can decline in a blink of the eye. Pryor will continue to be a

top organization the next three years, but he will need a QB (Wilson...maybe?) and some receivers tohelp the team out.

    Matt Garland-Flyin Hawaiians

Record: 10-3 (Lost in semifinals to Gamblor/Carlberg)

    Total Points: 1915.20 (3rd

    Overall)

2012 Recap: Garland had a great year and was looking to take some huge historical steps. Sadly, for him,

his team went through a rough patch during the middle of the season with Vick and Roethlisberger and

he fell short of the super bowl and total points. Still, this season could be the stepping stone year before

the leap to a title next year. Garlands RBs (Jamaal Charles, Doug Martin and Matt Forte) have loads of

talent and were dominant at times this year. Rookie Doug Martin, the muscle hamster, was a steal in the

draft and looked record setting at times during the year. Jamaal Charles is one carry terror, as at any

time he can take it the distance. Garlands has a lot of depth of above average receivers; Reggie Wayne,

Victor Cruz and Wes Welker among others. They provided stability and good production throughout the

year. The big problem was that month stretch where Garland was playing Nick Foles at QB. It was too

much to overcome and Matt eventually lost to the locomotive that is Carlberg. I think Matts

organization feels good about this year, but also empty. Confidence should be at an all-time high next

    year.

Wish List: A healthy, productive Ben Roethlisberger next year.

Historical Context: A good year and will help the averages and numbers, but might also be looked on as

    the what if year.

  • 7/28/2019 2012 Season Recap

    11/13

The Omaha DynastyDraft: (A-) Doug Martin turned out to be a stud and should be great for years to come. Garland alsoreceived a steal in the Broncos D. Garland also drafted Robert Meachem and he was a disappointment.

Waiver: (D) Nick Foles will be an average QB at best and looks worse when you realize Garland could

have picked up Kaepernick. Also, as I am writing this, Garland has not used his second transaction, which

would be a huge missed opportunity.

Trades: (C) No Trades this year, but it looks like Leise will get Garlands 2013 1st round pick from a 2011

    trade.

MVP: Doug Martin. He ended up being the number 3 running back and looked record breaking at times.

It was all the more surprising because he was a rookie. He has lots of good years ahead of him and couldbe franchise changing.

LVP: Mike Vick. Vick was brutal this year. A Vick from two years ago would have changed everything for

Garland. I guess it was not surprising considering Vicks overall body of evidence. Fantasy is a fickle

    monster.

Outlook for Next Year: Garland should be in competition for the Super Bowl and Total Points titles. QB is

definitely a question mark moving forward, but he has a lot of difference makers including Martin and

receivers. Maybe Garland will make the leap from below average organization to a great team.

Outlook for three years: Garland has a solid team moving forward, but QB is a lingering question. MaybeRoethlisberger is good enough, but I doubt it. Garland might need to strike gold in the draft or make a

trade. Otherwise the outlook is good and Garland will be a top owner for the foreseeable future. He

has good running backs (Martin, Forte and Charles). Garland has solid receivers, but way need some

replacements at some point as Wayne, Welker and Colston will be aging. Still, one of the best teams

    moving forward.

    TJ Fyfe- Evil Empire

Record: 12-1 (Lost in the semifinals to Mannings Machine/Pryor)

2012 Recap: Fyfe has reshaped his team into a near juggernaut. He accumulated loads of talent at all

positions and made a trade for Tom Brady prior to the start of this year. He came up empty this year,

but should feel good about how much he has accomplished since he entered the league a couple of

years ago. Brady was the best QB in the league this year, improving Fyfes team by 100-150 points. Fyfe

  • 7/28/2019 2012 Season Recap

    12/13

The Omaha Dynastyhas tons of talent at WR with Dez Bryant (#3 WR), AJ Green(#4 WR), Hakeem Nicks, Jimmy Graham andMiles Austin. Some teams would love to have just one of those players. Fyfes running backs were also

great. He has CJ Spiller, Trent Richardson and Frank Gore. Spiller is a long TD waiting to happen and

Richardson is an every down back that gets all of the goal line touches. Looking back this will be a tough

year to look back on because of how close he came to total points. He was probably just a big week from

one player away from closing the deal on Carlberg. Maybe next year.

Wish List: An injury to Aaron Rodgers.

Historical Context: Fyfe is making his move. The difference between Kelley and him is amazing. It would

be difficult to believe that they came in at the same time.

Draft: (A-) Trent Richardson is everything that was written, discussed and/or talked about before the

year. Fyfe will have an above average to borderline top 3 RB every year. Brian Quick was a nobody and

Fyfes other pick was on a kicker, Randy Bollock, that he later dropped.

Waiver: (D+) A kicker and Bryce Brown. Bryce Brown was white hot for two games, but he has a

fumbling problem and seems destined for backup work. Lawrence Tynes, kicker, is average.

Trades: (A) Fyfe gets Tom Brady and future 3rd and 4th round picks Pryor gets 2012 1st round pick

(Justin Blackmon) and Fyfes 2013 1st

round pick. Fyfe was in need of a QB and Brady nearly put him over

the top. Brady still has some solid years ahead of him.

MVP: Tom Brady. Best QB is the league this year. Enough said.

LVP: Hakeem Nicks. He was injured often throughout the year and had a poor season. A little bit more

    production might have meant championship.

Outlook for next year: Great. Fyfes team is ready to challenge. He has good players at all positions and

will attempt to dethrone Luke next year. He will be a contender for both points title and super bowl.

Fyfes team looks very dangerous and probably one of the teams that make Carlberg nervous.

Outlook for three years: Great. Fyfes team is set for the next three years. Every position has good

players in their primes. I predict at least one points title in the next three years. It is amazing how Fyfehas remade his team in such a short time period. It could spell danger for the rest of the league, if he

    continues his slick ways.

    Luke Carlberg- Gamblor

The Omaha DynastyRecord: 8-5 (Won the Super Bowl over Mannings Machine/Pryor)

    Total Points: 1967.9 (1st Overall)

2012 Recap: Carlberg is the big winner this year. He repeats in the Super Bowl and Total Points, his third

straight points title. He has officially taken over the title as best organization in the league. Things looked

shaky midway through the year as Garland and Fyfe were making a serious run at the points title.

Carlbergs team stepped it up over the second half ofthe year and kept the other two at bay through

the end of the year. Carlberg really benefited from Seattles D and Rodgers. They were part of the final

push that moved Hargis over the top. Luke really put a stranglehold on best owner and his run is

unprecedented. He officially is the top owner in the league and will be looking for more next year.

Wish List: More of the same.

Historical Context: Luke has separated himself as the best organization. The only question is how far will

the gap be by the time this is done?

Draft: (D) Michael Floyd and Jacquizz Rodgers. Both will struggle to make the team next year. They have

talent, but Lukes team is just too deep. They both had low impact on the field this year.

Waiver: (C) Carson Palmer is on his way out of the league and will do little to help Luke in the future.

Blair Walsh is a machine and can really boot those 50 yarders. He hit about ten this year. (We really have

to change that rule of 10 points per 50 yarder. Ten fifty yarders would be equivalent to 1000 yardsrushing.)

    Trades: (NG) No Trades.

MVP: Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers was not the machine he was last year, but still was the second best QB.

Though, Luke received huge contributions from his defenses, Baltimore and Seattle.

LVP: Darren McFadden. McFadden was injured throughout the year, but also had low production when

he was on the field. Disappointing to say the least.

Outlook for next year: Luke has a great shot at 4 in a row. He is a monster right now and is at the point

where he can count on the money every year, like a Christmas bonus. He is a little thin at QB, but who

isnt? Someone is really going to have to take it from Luke because he is not going to give it up.

Outlook for 3 years: Could Luke win six in a row? Rodgers, JJones, Rice and many other studs. It would

be hard to imagine, but Lukes team is set up to be successful for the foreseeable future. He is

comfortably set at each position and will have a chance every year. He will obviously have to improve in

a couple areas, but he has proven that he is capable of doing that year in and year out.
