MESSAGE FROMCHRIS HMIELEWSKI
POINTS OFMUSTANG PRIDE
Greetings Mustang Fans,
Making a difference. Something we all want to accomplish in our
lives. When one gives to the Mustang Booster Club, they are
making a difference in the education and future lives of over 300
student athletes. Additionally, they are making a difference in the
future success of the Athletics Department and its 13 men’s and
women’s sports teams and all that it provides to our university and
community. There are many benefits in becoming a Mustang
Booster Club member, which include tickets, parking, hospitality,
Mustang apparel and a variety of unique, up-close experiences
with our athletic program. As a member of the Mustang Booster
Club you play a vital role in helping Mustang Athletics achieve
success. Contributions to this important effort support Mustang
student athletes who excel in the classroom, in their sport, and in
service to the community. That is a difference that lasts a lifetime.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MUSTANG ATHLETE
DEVIN DIEDRICH, 2012 Spring Semester
• 8:30 am - Alarm goes off, telling me it is time to start another week
and head to my first class. Eat some breakfast, throw on
some sweats, and get ready for the day.
• 9:00 am - I arrive on campus and head to Java City to get my
morning coffee, medium Mocha without whipped
cream. I will need this to get through my day!
• 9:30 am - My first and favorite class of the day, Physiological
Anatomy with Sandy Craner. The body is so interesting to
me!
• 10:30 am - Start of class number two for me, Adapted Physical
Education Applications. My mornings are very busy!
• 11:30 am - Off to my THIRD class of the morning with my Coach,
Terry Culhane. This was another one of my favorites,
Coaching and Officiating Volleyball, because I got to
learn more techniques and methods behind the game I
love.
• 12:30 pm - Grab a quick bite to eat and then off to one of my
favorite things of the day, Weight Lifting. Lifting weights
is a great way to get my mind off the stressors throughout
the morning.
• 1:30 pm - Back in class yet again, with Coach Buchholz, finally,
my last one of the day.
• 2:20 pm - Happy to be done with my busy morning and afternoon
but the day is not done. I head to our Student Center to
grab a quick snack, which was usually Hummus, and go
hang out in our Volleyball locker room waiting for one of
our spring practices to begin.
• 3:00 pm - Time to get dressed and ready for practice and get my
mind ready to get better at Volleyball!
• 6:00 pm - Finally, on my way home from a busy day at school and
practice! Trying to decide what I should have for dinner,
I am usually pretty hungry at this time.
• 7:00 pm - Feeling full from dinner and it is time to work on some
Physiological Anatomy.
• 9:00 pm - Done with studying for the night, my brain is exhausted,
time to jump in bed and turn on some ESPN to see if
anything exciting happened today.
• 10:30 pm - Time to catch some Zzz’s before another long day starts
again tomorrow. Couldn’t be happier with the blessed
day I have had and hope to have another great one
tomorrow.
