In just 20 minutes, hypothermia can deprive you of all mental and physical capacities, leading to unconsciousness and even death.

At Mustang Survival, our research scientists are dedicated to protecting people from hypothermia. The length of time a person can survive in cold water primarily depends on both the water’s temperature and the thermal insulation of the victim’s protective clothing. The scientific measure of such insulation is referred to as a Clo value. Simply put, the higher the Clo, the greater the insulation and the longer you can survive in cold water.

To provide the maximum Clo possible, Mustang products are made with

our unique AirSoft™ foam. It not only provides maximum insulation against the cold, it also keeps you afloat to protect you from drowning.
