Philadelphia Gay News New Hope Celebrates is a non-profit 501(c)3 all-volunteer marketing organization whose mission is to provide events which stimulate LGBT tourism to New Hope from throughout the Northeast region as well as provide fun community events for local Bucks County residents. Proceeds from NHC’s events are often granted to needy LGBT organizations such as the Rainbow Room, the Trevor Foundation for LGBT troubled teen intervention, and medical groups providing help to those with HIV-AIDS.
“This week of Pride is important because it keeps New Hope on the radar of LGBT tourists nationwide,” commented Daniel Brooks, Founder and President of NHC. “Always a welcoming environment, New Hope is a mainstay in the course of LGBT history and this event gives it a chance to shine—to be discovered by some, or rediscovered by others. Open to all, it is like a springtime country fair that happens to be run by gay folks. Therein lies it’s uniqueness.”
