Benelli engineers developed specialized machinery to measure and graph recoil. Here a Vinci is plotted along with 4 Competitors. A dramatic reduction with ComforTech Plus can be seen in all three peaks of recoilfiring, bolt cocking the hammer and the end of bolt travel.

The Vinci does what many thought was impossible; it is both the lightest gun in its class and the softest-kicking. Imagine how fresh youll be at the end of a long hunting day with that combination!

The Vincis In-Line Inertia Driven actions bolt and rotating bolt-head operates simply and efficiently on a single axis. This innovative design means reduced movement during recoil, resulting in less muzzle climb for quicker follow-up shots.

STEP 1: ChambEringAs the bolt assembly moves into battery, the locking head pin moves along a curved track in the bolt body to rotate the steel bolt head into engagement with the steel barrel extension.

STEP 2: firingWhen the trigger is pulled, every part of the shotgun except the bolt body moves rearward. The curved track in the bolt body, which is movingforward relative to the rest of the gun, presses against the locking head pin, turning the bolt head even tighter into the barrel extension. At the same time, the inertia spring is compressed between bolt head and body. The cartridge drop lever moves up, allowing a shell to move from the magazine to the carrier.

STEP 3: rECoilNear the end of the recoil cycle, chamber pressure drops to a safe level and the guns rearward motion slows. The heavy inertia spring then thrusts the bolt assembly rearward, unlocking the rotating bolt head, extracting the spent shell from the chamber and pulling it against the ejector.

STEP 4: EjECTionAs the empty shell exits the receiver, the energy of the moving boltassembly re-cocks the hammer and compresses the recoil spring. The recoil spring then thrusts the bolt assembly forward, lifting theon-coming shell into position and chambering a fresh cartridge. The gun is ready to fire again in a fraction of a second!

The Vincis In-Line Inertia Driven system cycles shells faster than ever. But, to take advantage of this speed, it wasnecessary to reduce recoil and minimize muzzle climb. To accomplish this Benelli developed the ComfortTech Plussystem, which decreases muzzle climb by 14 to 42 percent and quickens recovery time to let you get back on target 40 to 68 percent faster than the competition. Without adding weight, ComforTech Plus also allows the Vinci to retainsuperior balance when shouldering and firing the gun. Youll be busting the second clay or knocking down that next bird while your shooting partner is still recovering from his first shot. The practical "speed" shooters seek becomes a matter of how fast you can shoulder the gun... acquire the target... shoot... and recover from recoil to prepare for the next shot. This is the real timeline of performance speed where the vinci has no equal.

QUaDrafiT bUTTSToCK moDUlE:The polymer QuadraFit Buttstock Module with ComforTech Plus connects directly to the receiver by a simple turn-and-lock, steel-to-steel attachment. This allows a quick change from field stock to a tactical pistol-grip stock or a turkey/slug hunting SteadyGrip stock. Vincis QuadraFit Buttstock Module customizing system allows easy adjustment of drop, cast, comb height and length-of-pull in a matter of minutes. Optional accessories include comb and butt pads in varying lengths and sizes.

The Vinci comes standard with a lightweight, ventilated stepped rib with mid-bead and red bar front sights.

magazine loading port. Guided by an oversized sculpted recess, merely depress the carrier and

slide the shells into the magazine.

The Vinci magazine cap turns clockwise to lock the Trigger Group/forearm module to the barrel. To remove the Trigger Group forearm from the barrel, press the button on the underside of the forearm and turn the magazine cap counter-clockwise. An integral front sling attachment is molded directly into the magazine cap.

Custom-shaped compartments in the fitted gun case, house and protect the Vincis modular components for storage and transportation.

The reliability of the r1s Auto regulating Gas operated (A.r.G.o.) system has been proven in the M1014 military shotgun and has been adapted for centerfire riflecartridges with a three-lugged rotary bolt. The rifles gas cylinder is positioned justin front of the chamber allowing for short operating rods and reduced recoiling mass.

The exclusive, a traditionally styled 20-gauge, has an elaborately engraved nickel-plated lower receiver with

vignettes of a pointer and setter pair and a quail in flight executed in engraved gold overlay. Both devices

are surrounded by floral acanthus scrolling.

The guns of the elite special two-gun sets are lavishly engraved with realistic landscapes inset

with gold highlighted cartouches depicting gundogs and game birds. on the left receiver face an alpine

meadow flanks a cartouche containing the deeply chased bust of an english setter.
