GRRA 2010 Accomplishments
•Board of Directors develops an 18-month, education-focused strategic plan at its retreat.
•Held 10 Brown Bags and 12 Coffee Talks and had 710 members attending
•Held 17 CE Classes with total students attendance of 1,792 (August 2009 – June 2010)
•Held a series of Web 2.0 and Social Media training sessions for our members on topics like Facebook, Twitter, Google Apps and more.
•President Guill and Mike Barr held focus groups with BICs/DRs of large, medium, small and single-member companies, sharing information and feedback, and conducted 10 visits to offices.
• News & Record Trade Agreement was renewed
•Created positive messages about the real estate market for you to relay to your clients and continued to be vigilant in our efforts to tell the real story of Greensboro real estate.
•Executed a contract with NFI Studios to develop a new GRRA.org and a community, My.GRRA.org. The site launched in August and is available to all primary and secondary REALTOR® members.
•Held the GRRA Election with 32.5% participation from our membership , an above-average level for comparable trade organizations
•Continued Greensboro Regional Realtors® Association influence at NCAR level as Kevin Green succeeds John Newman as NCAR RVP for Region 5.
•Our members raised $20,349 for RPAC
GRRA 2010 Accomplishments
•TREBIC began working to legalize signs in Oak Ridge
• Triad MLS launches DataChecker and AnnounceMyListing, with three more products – StatsPro, Property Panorama and Document Manager – slated to launch soon
• Asheboro joined TRIAD MLS • Facilities Committee unveils new sign in front of GRRA, with plans for improved landscaping around the building to follow
• Applied for and received a grant for $3,000 from NAR’s Housing Opportunity Fund, which will fund financial literacy courses for new home buyers.
• Continued to improve our working relationship with the Greensboro Regional Realtors® Foundation and helped fund it
• RCSC once again reaches out to community with Get a Kid Ready For School, which collected more than $3600 for school supplies that were sent to Hunter, Sedgefield, and Washington Elementary Schools, as well as the Teachers Warehouse.
• RCSC/Red Cross Blood Drive collects 20 pints in August
• Volunteers assemble 180 care packages for Holiday for the Homeless
• Continued Management of Carolinas Chapter of Society of Industrial Office REALTORS® in addition to the NC-Certified Commercial Investment Member Chapter, NC-REALTORS® Land Institute Chapter and Institute of Real Estate Management Piedmont Triad Chapter
