To create a workplace of choiceyou will hear how to: Develop today’s nurse leader with communication savvy; Be a change master, a conflict zapper and be viewed by

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS: HRET is an approvedprovider of continuing nursing education by NJSNA, an accreditedapprover by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’sCommission on Accreditation. P131-4/08-11. This program quali-fies for up to seven contact hours.
LAST YEAR WAS A TURBULENT TIME INHEALTHCARE, BOTH ON THE FEDERALAND STATE LEVELS. Congressional debates and
arguments over how to improve coverage; how to pay (or not)
for healthcare; model delivery systems and accountable care
organizations – and there was a chance we would see a final bill
on the President’s desk soon – until that Massachusetts election
and the imploding of all of the reform activity. In New Jersey,
we have a new governor and a new commissioner of health and
a huge budget deficit – what does that mean for our healthcare
organizations? As our population ages there’s going to be a lot
more focus on patient-centric care and care that largely is
chronic care, managed in the community – not in hospitals.
Nursing needs to be a large part of those discussions, if not one
of the leaders, to ensure that our patients and their families
receive quality and safe care wherever they are. More turbulent
times are coming and this conference will provide you with the
skills and knowledge to lead the change necessary and to pro-
vide direction and support for your staff.
This year’s annual conference again brings outstanding
speakers to challenge nursing leaders on how to address the
many issues we will face in healthcare and nursing.
Participants will learn:
 Strategies to stay energized and focused and demonstrate
innovative leadership while dealing with the day-to-day crises;
 The latest developments regarding healthcare reform and
strategic initiatives on both the federal and state levels;
 How social networking might redefine healthcare commu-
nications and how to use it for your personal development;
 How you can use integrative medicine techniques in your
daily life to mitigate stress and disharmony; and
 How to create a workplace of choice in your organization
and have the best employees.
This year’s meeting again brings you to a beautiful and tran-
quil escape. You can enjoy upscale shopping adjacent to the
hotel, a world-class European spa, indoor heated pool with
whirlpool and sumptuous onsite restaurants.
