WSC is a member club of the SWSA and as such, all WSC members are invited to take part in SWSA events. INSURANCE All boats taking part in WSC sailing events shall have insurance cover for third party risks for a minimum of £3,000,000 TIDES All tide times in this calendar are for 1st High Water Southampton, and are corrected for BST CLUB BAR & CATERING Lunchtime Shore House bar is open 12.00-14.00 every day (until 15.00 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday) & a good selection of lunches and bar meals are available every lunchtime except Mondays Evening Shore House bar is open 20.00-22.30 Tuesday-Thursday, and 20.00-23.00 on Friday. Suppers and bar meals are available from 20.00-21.30 on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings when racing is scheduled, even if the racing is cancelled. Weekend sailing events and regattas Barbeques and bar meals are sometimes arranged for special events during the summer. Whilst every effort will be made to ensure that published events will take place as advertised, occasionally it will be necessary to change the dates or start times, due to circumstances beyond the control of the Sailing Committee. There will be other sailing, cruising and training events that will be arranged after the publication of this calendar. All WSC members wishing to participate in club events are respectfully advised to check with the relevant organisers, and keep an eye on the notice board in the club, check the WSC website and e-calendar, and look in their copy of the ‘Lobster’s Log’ for further details of our 2018 events.

Warsash Sailing Club Training Centre 2018

WSC is an RYA accredited training centre for shore based courses, power boat and dinghy training. Details and prices of courses offered to Club members are displayed on the WSC website, and on the Shore House notice board. If you want to find out more, please email [email protected] When you have decided to take a course, please complete an application form available from the club or the training area of www.warsashsc.org.uk and send it to the Club office with a cheque for payment. Any Club member who wishes to join in Club dinghy racing must be prepared to complete a Power Boat level 2 course. For new members or dinghy sailors, this is a great way to meet people and prepare for taking your turn at RIB cover during the dinghy racing season. Volunteer Rib helms and crews would be welcomed for Wednesday and Friday evening dinghy racing. Please contact [email protected] with your availability. Cruising in 2018 Warsash SC Rally Programme Cruising rallies organised for this season are shown below. Additional rallies may be organised during the year which will be advertised in the Log and on the Club notice board. If you have an idea for a cruiser event or rally please contact Peter Sands. Dinghy Sailing at Warsash Dinghy brief & registration is on 17th March at 19.30. Friday racing is a little more relaxed than Wednesdays. We have a Friday Friendly fleet in which anyone with very little or no racing experience can sail with others in the 'same boat'! Once helms and crews are more confident they can move up to the fleet appropriate for their dinghy. Not sure how it all works or how to get started? Not sure if you or your boat will be up to it? Please come along to the to the briefing or email [email protected] . We would love to discuss our activities and allay your fears.

Monthly Mayhem Dinghy Racing Mayhems happen on Saturdays,
