LA VERE SOPER A previous missionary and pastor, God gave LaVere a vision in 1977 of the end time harvest that would take place and the rain of the Holy Spirit that was about to begin on the earth. At that time he set up a ministry called Latter Rain Ministries — now called Mission of Compassion. One of LaVere's greatest thrills is seeing the constant demon- stration of God's healing power as he helps to bring the gospel to people who have no hope outside of Christ. KAREN BURROWS While Dale & Teri Armstrong ministered in Titusville, PA, she had the privilege to sit under their teaching and attend Ministry Training School at Church of the Word where she was ordained. An Armada member, she lives in Titusville, PA where she teaches two women’s Bible Studies in her home. In the church she currently attends, she was the 2008 guest speaker at the Women’s Conference and occasionally preached at other churches. Karen has a passion for souls and to teach and equip believers in the Word of God. RALPH & A YLENE WILKERSON In July 1960, his vision for a mega church in Southern California began. The church began with 27 people and grew to 17,000 in the 1960s. Pastor Wilkerson served as chancellor of two graduate schools. He is founder of the Melodyland Drug Prevention Center and Melodyland School of Theology, as well as being a bestselling author. Now retired, he and his wife, Allene, of 63 years continue a busy schedule that includes speaking engage- ments and conventions, mentoring younger pastors, evangelists and seminary students and writing.
