Bandera ISD Parent School Survey   The Bandera ISD Parent Survey for 2009-2010 was

implemented on September 28, 2009 and closed on October 30, 2009.

  The survey contained 15 response questions and one open-ended question.

  The survey was printed, folded, and compiled in-house. Secondary parents received their survey with postage paid returned envelope though USPS. Elementary parents received their survey with postage paid envelope through their child’s weekly take home folder.

  566 completed parent surveys were returned and entered into our software. In 2005, 68 surveys were returned (only from 3, 7, and 10 grade parents). In 2004, 465 surveys were returned. In 2003, 319 surveys were returned.

A total of 183 respondents provided open ended comments at the conclusion of the survey. The comments were categorized as follows:

  Campus Atmosphere (75) - 36 positive comments; 39 critical comments.

  District Atmosphere (34) - 22 positive comments; 12 critical comments.

  Campus Communications (30) - 4 positive comments; 26 critical comments.

  Student Services (26) - 6 positive comments; 20 critical comments.

  District Communications (15) - 5 positive comments; 10 critical comments.

  Student Discipline (14) - 2 positive comments; 12 critical comments.

  Curriculum (12) - 2 positive comments; 10 critical comments
