1. Remove the 5 hex bolts that attach the left and right airbox side air intakes. (Fig. A) This step only applies to the V-Rod Muscle 2. Remove the 4mm capscrew under left radiator cover and remove the left radiator cover. (Fig. B) 3. Lift the seat. Turn the ballhead fastener counter clockwise and slide air box cover toward rear of bike. 4. Remove the air box cover. Disconnect the IAT sensor at the front of the air box by press- ing down the wire. Undo the 8 clamps on the air box and remove the lid. There are 3 clamps on each side. Remove the air filter. 5. Slide the rubber rings to the top of the air horns then using a 5mm Hex wrench, remove the 6 bolts at the base of the air horns inside the air box. (Fig. C) 6. Use pliers to loosen the clamp on the breather hose that goes from the air box to the rear cylinder head. Remove the breather hose and remove the air box. (Fig. D) 7. Locate the battery and disconnect the negative battery cable. The RCX Celerator will be mounted near the air box or factory ECU. Route tuner harness down the left side of bike from the battery area. Use zip ties to secure the tuner harness to the stock wiring harness. (Fig. E) 8. Unplug the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) connector at the TPS sensor. Plug in the two TPS connectors from the tuner harness in between the TPS sensor and the factory TPS connector. Route the tuner harness wich includes two CPS connectors underneath the bottom of the motorcycle frame along with the main factory harness. Put the two CPS connectors from the tuner harness in between the CPS sensor plug in the factory wiring harness and the factory CPS connector. (Fig. G) 10. Route the tuner harness which includes two O2 sensor connectors to the rear O2 sen- sor plug location which is located under the rider’s seat on top of the fuel tank. Unplug the rear O2 sensor connector from the factory wiring harness, connect the plug from the tuner harness to the factory wiring harness, then connect the other connector to the factory O2 sensor. (Fig. H) 11. Repeat step 10 for the front O2 sensor located under the left radiator cover. (Fig. I) 12. Locate the Data-Link connector directly under the right side cover. This is the GREY connector with the rubber plug in it that is used by service techs to diagnose trouble codes. (Fig. J) 13. Cut the protective sheathing back 2” from Data Link connector. Now that the wires are exposed attach the supplied T-tap connector to the GREY wire using pliers. (Fig. J) 14. Strip approx. 1/8” off the end of the RED wire of the tuner harness and crimp the sup- plied blade terminal and connect it to the T-tap connector on the GREY wire. This will be the key-on 12volt power source for the RCX-Celerator module. 17. Locate the battery and connect the RED/WHITE tracer wire of the tuner harness to thePOSITIVE side of the battery . Re-Connect negative cable to battery. (Fig. K)

18. Connect the RCX-Celerator module to the tuner harness. (Fig. L)

19. Carefully go back through and make sure all connectors are secure and locked.

20. Pull all slack from the tuner harness back into the battery area and carefully and neatlysecure with zip ties. (Fig. K)

21. RCX-Celerator module can be positioned close to the air box or the factory ECU foreasy access.

22. Re-install air box assembly and side covers.

22. With the RCX-Celerator module installed turn the key-on, the LED light will blink REDwith the key-on to confirm the unit has power.

23. Start the motorcycle and wait approximately 90 seconds for the LED light to turn GREEN.This shows the module is installed correctly and in CLOSED-LOOP mode. (Fig. M)

24. The RCX Celerator begins learning and tuning your motorcycle immediately. Within the first50 miles your motorycle will be running better than ever as it learns how you ride.

WARRANTY INFORMATIONThe RCX-Celerator is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 90 daysfrom the date of purchase. This warranty is strictly limited to repair or replacement of the defectiveproduct. This warranty does not cover labor, damages or other incedental charges incurred by theuse of this product. FUNCTIONS AND OPERATIONSThe LED light is located at the top right side of the front of the module.The LED light will blink RED with key-onThe LED light will turn GREEN after your motorcycle has been running for approximately 90 seconds.

• If light does not turn green, first check all plugs and connectors.• When installing the RCX-Celerator harness, make sure you leave enough slack that the wires

have room to move around when the engine is running.• The RCX Celerator begins learning and tuning your motorcycle immediately and within the first

50 miles your motorycle will be running better than ever as it learns how you ride.

IN THE EVENT OF A MALFUNCTIONIn the event of a malfunction the RCX-Celerator can be by-passed and reverted back to stock. By simplyunplugging the RCX-Celerator throttle position sensor (TPS) plug from the throttle body and re-plug thefactory throttle position sensor plug back into the throttle body. Your bike is now running in stock mode.
