ADDENDA

Colored-sheet Addenda, which include additions andrevisions to individual Sections of the Code, are publishedannually and will be sent automatically to purchasers ofthe applicable Sections up to the publication of the 2007Code. The 2004 Code is available only in the loose-leafformat; accordingly, the Addenda will be issued in theloose-leaf, replacement-page format.

INTERPRETATIONS

ASME issues written replies to inquiries concerninginterpretation of technical aspects of the Code. The Inter-pretations for each individual Section will be publishedseparately and will be included as part of the updateservice to that Section. They will be issued semiannually(July and December) up to the publication of the 2004Code. Interpretations of Section III, Divisions 1 and 2,will be included with the update service to SubsectionNCA.

Beginning with the 2004 Edition, Interpretations of theCode will be distributed annually in July with the issuanceof the edition and subsequent addenda. Interpretationspreviously distributed in January will be posted in Januaryat www.cstools.asme.org/interpretations and included inthe July distribution.

CODE CASES

The Boiler and Pressure Vessel Committee meets regu-larly to consider proposed additions and revisions to theCode and to formulate Cases to clarify the intent ofexisting requirements or provide, when the need is urgent,rules for materials or constructions not covered byexisting Code rules. Those Cases which have beenadopted will appear in the appropriate 2004 Code Casesbook: (1) Boilers and Pressure Vessels and (2) NuclearComponents. Supplements will be sent automatically tothe purchasers of the Code Cases books up to the publica-tion of the 2007 Code.
