Overview
The Penta Chutian PLUS is capable of cutting at very high speeds while simultaneously obtaining and maintaining
excellent dimensional accuracy. Dual server motor drives are used to produce maximum acceleration rates that are
not possible with traditional ball screws, or other common methods. The FIBER laser source permits processing with
high quality, top performance, greatest productivity and lowest operating costs. This makes the FIBER PLUS System
the simplest, yet, most durable high performance system available on the market.
The Penta Chutian FIBER PLUS is a complete integrated system for the cutting and processing of various types of

Standard Cutting Head
Cutting head from Precitec Group Germany, model HP SSL, is adopted in
Fiber Plus laser cutting system. The HP SSL cutting head is ideal for use in
flat bed with fiber-coupled lasers. Modeled on the design of the successful
and reliable HP series, this head has integrated distance sensor with
extremely durable stability and a monitored protective glass cartridge.
Preadjustable cartridges enable ultra-fast replacement when cutting
different work piece thicknesses.
With sensitive non-contact positioning sensor and control under the
system, stable Z axis floating function is available, which can deal with the
effect caused by uneven sheets, making PLUS CNC Laser Cutting Machine
achieve much higher rate of finished product than the other domestic laser cutting machine; There is no need of oil blast
before cutting, so it takes the user less work and installation cost of assisting tools.
Cutting head adopts flexible design, competent of collision-proof and automatic reset, which automatically stops cutting
and flexibly diverges and resets when accidental collision occurs, and moreover pick up from the former point , making the
whole cutting process free from effect.

Advanced CNC control Features
The Penta Chutian PLUS System is complete with is front-end software: Z32 Control System. This software has been
developed within the Windows XP Professional It eliminates the possibility of memory overrun.
The critical motion system remains housed in a PC based real
time machine control, so that the expected performance and reliability is maintained. The merging of the control
and the Windows ™ based PC is invisible to the operator.
The control easily facilitates graphic, conversational and conventional ISO formats for manual data input
programming. The built in cutting database assists inexperienced operators to choose optimal cutting parameters
including advance head set table to cut small hole on thick material (about half of the material thickness).
The system can also communicate with an off-line computer via Ethernet connection (cable and 2nd LAN board
supplied by Penta Chutian-El.En).

Operation Software
The AlfaControl has been specifically developed to fully exploit the new linear motor systems’ features, keeping the
compatibility of any other Penta Chutian’s product.
The new software generation includes many innovations introduced during the recent years in the industrial laser-cutting
field (fast piercing, fast cutting speed on thick material etc…). The updated Users Interface (UI) improves the simplicity
and immediacy of day-by-day operations while facilitating the most complicated laser cutting scenarios. The software is
now more intuitive and easier to manage.
Among all the “standard” features of a CNC (Computer Numerical Controlled) dedicated to the laser cutting process, the
AlfaControl offers a variety of enhancements and revolutionary solutions all aimed to speed up and simplify your laserjob
always keeping the tooling quality and safety to the maximum level.
Here are some of the more noteworthy features:
Microsoft Windows XP Embedded as operative system with EWF (Enhanced Write Filter). The system is protected
from accidental cancellation of the files of the system and/or from installation of non authorized software. Any
updating of the operative system and/or the user interface program is made by a self-installing program issued by
Penta Chutian. Additionally, a partition of the hard disk is specifically dedicated to saving data of the operator.
Settings saving: the system is fitted with a memory device external to the PC that automatically and freely allows
the operator the sensible data of the system, such as settings files and/or the cutting technological parameters.
Using this innovation, together with Windows XPE EWF, the data is protected by any loss caused by accidental
events.
Job report: the system memorizes the daily job report; for any production cycle it memorizes the name of the

single processed files, the starting and the end (date and time) of the working process, the (inches) meters that
have been cut and any data that could be useful to make an analysis of the efficiency of the system.
Re-start of the job: in addition to the possibility of re-calling the last interrupted job, due for example to an
electrical black out, the CNC is able to memorize the last 64 part-programs incorrectly unfinished. If there is the
need to voluntarily give precedence to a more urgent job, the operator can re-launch the unfinished job later on.
Pre-view function: allows a rapid full check out of the entire geometry of the sheet. It is able to indicate the
dimensions of the bounding box, the length of the cutting path and more. A special function allows verification
before starting the laser cutting if the sheet dimension is big enough to contain all the geometries.
Remote diagnostic-assistance: available with Premium Service Pack
Cutting technologies: fully integrated in the technological schedule.
Cutting lines: up to 5 for each single technological schedule.
Scheduling: the operator can input a limitless number of program schedules, separate from those provided by the
system.
N.U.R.B.S.: managing the curves up to the 4° grade in primitive format.
ISO optimization function: this function automatically analyses the part-program minimizing the execution time.
Advanced administration of the cutting head: it minimizes the risks of collisions of the cutting head during the
idle movement, even keeping the maximum motion speed.
I/O data: Ethernet (TCP/IP), WiFi and USB ports.
Check CUT feature: the system can stop the machining process to have to examine the cut quality in fully safe
conditions and then will restart quickly the job immediately.
Automatic edge detection on metal sheets: this function automatically recognizes the metal sheet position and
rotational/translation of the CNC axes origin to match the actual sheet position on the working table (therefore
there is no need to manually move the sheet on the pallet, avoiding any unwanted scratches): typically ±0.02 inch
(±0.5 mm) precision with good material edges.

Mainframe
Structural Dynamic Design and Variate Analysis technology of Finite Element Method enable the base own
outstanding dynamic and static features. The frame-structure base is made with high quality steel plates by
professional OEM partners through welding, secondary aging treatment and precision machining by large-scale
gantry-structure milling machine. All of these designs and processing make sure the excellent vibration resistance,
rigidity and stability.
The gantry is a monoblock cast by aluminum alloy, with less weight, smaller inertance and better vibration reducing.
It is made through rough machining and late strict aging treatment and precision machining. Because the dynamic
part is light, the inertance is small, moving speed is high and processing precision is high. Transmission is through rack
and pinion. The gantry is installed on the support guide of the body of the machine tool. With directing guide and
level guide on it, the gantry can achieve fast moving and feed motion through servo motor driving coaxial rack and
pinion on either side.
The work area is 3000mm in the X axis direction and 1500 mm in the Y axis.
Automatic dross cleaner: the cutting table is divided into nine areas, all the cutting dross will be collected through a
drawer from each area; to clean dust and waste gas and so on to ensure the clean and comfortable working
environment.

Fume extraction: the pulse and filtered type of suction system will take off the wasted cutting assisting gas and
smoke produced during the cut from the table, filtered and then released to the environments.
Cooling water is maintained at ideal operating temperature via a chiller that assures correct cooling of the internal
laser system. The chiller is equipped with dual line water services. The first is targeting the Laser. The second one is
used for the external optics and cutting head lens: this feature eliminates the risk of condensation.
Automatic Gas Assist System
The PLUS front end software is equipped with sophisticated control of the cutting service gas. In particular each gas
pressure can be adjusted from 150 mBar to 6 Bar in the case of compressed air and oxygen, and from 150 mBar to 20
Bar in the case of nitrogen.
All the information on service gas is specified in the Head Set tables and in the zone indicated by number 7 in Figure 1
showing the specifications currently programmed for service gas. These state the type of gas (air, oxygen etc…) and
the required pressure.
Furthermore, the effective gas pressure can be read, and this information is also displayed on screen; if the effective
pressure reading then differs from the set value by more than a specified threshold, an alarm signal is then activated,
i.e. the real pressure value changes from red to yellow.

Hydraulic system
Pressured oil tank along with servo motor are adopted to control the liquid pressure as well as the flow within the liquid
pipe. Horizontal level of working table is controlled via looping system of pressure liquid. Main features are shown as
following.
Speed adjustment of working pallet at certain level can be achieved.
Liquid pressure system has low moment during movement, as high dynamic capability.
Completely linear transmission, highly stabilized movement.
Automatically working circulation; self-protection from over weight capacity.
Liquid pressure oil is applied as transmit medium, constant lubrication is provided; as longer life-span can be
achieved.
Servo motor, drivers and decelerator
To ensure stability and precision, PLUS CNC Laser Cutting Machine adopts servo motor made by YASKAWA, Japan and
decelerator made by NEUGART, Germany.

Lantek software CAD/CAM system
The PowerCut software package includes a standard Cad 2D license plus advance metal cutting features, such as Auto
Nesting, Pre-Piercing, Auto lead in-out. It converts standard DWG and DXF files into PLUS ISO file.
Air filter
Compressed air is an important process and energy medium applied in almost all areas of industrial production. The
atmospheric air taken in contains contaminants, dirt particles and humidity, i.e. water vapor which condensates in
compressed air pipes. This condensation can lead to considerable costs (corrosion, freezing, etc.). These costs can be
avoided by the application of an ultrapac 2000 dryer. This complete purification system includes a prefilter with automatic
condensate drain, adsorption dryer and after-filter. The prefilter retains solids and condensate (oil/ water mixture) up to a
residual oil content of 0.03 ppm. The ultrapure 2000 breathing air systems are purification units based on adsorption
dryers ultrapac 2000 to supply breathing air in excess of all relevant international standards and medical prescriptions.

5 Cutting material:
The cutting material should be equal and flat, clean on the surface without paint and oxidation. The material
has also to be suitable for the laser cutting process and to have a high standard quality.

Section 1: Training
Advance training: Penta Chutian-El.En will provide up to five (5) days of training on machine operation and advanced
training on software operation. This will be done at Penta Chutian facility in Wuhan, China, prior to shipment of the system.
Living and travel expenses are not included.
On-site training: the seller will provide up to 1-2 weeks of training on the machine operation, maintenance, laser operating,
cutting parameters, graphics edition, common troubleshooting, etc. The on-site training includes up to 1-2 weeks of one
seller’s technician at the buyer's site, the visa, international ticket, meal and living expenses are covered by the buyer.
Section 2: Warranty (A, B, C, D)
Penta Chutian, warrants to the original purchaser of the system, that it shall be free of defects as follows:

Equipment must be regularly serviced in accordance with Penta Chutian-El.En.’s machine documentation. If service work is
required on a warranted Penta Chutian System, it must be performed by either:

Subcontractor provided by Penta Chutian-El.En.
Service Technician, authorized by Penta Chutian-El.En., in writing and in advance of performance of the service work
It is understood that Penta Chutian-El.En. has no control over the method in which a laser system is used and makes no
warranties with regard to the use of the system for a specific purpose or product unless specifically agreed upon by an

authorized Penta Chutian-El.En. representative in writing, prior to the sale of the system.
C.Warranty shall be null and void if:
-Any revisions, adjustments or repairs are made to the warranted system without written permission from Penta
Chutian-El.En.
-Damage to the system, including:
1. Damage caused by fire, theft, windstorm, malicious acts, etc.
2. Damage to the system through misuse by the customer
3. Damage to the system through the use of a faulty or non-conforming utility or service such as electric power,
gases, water or air
4. Failure to perform the recommended maintenance as outlined in the manual
5. Failure to notify Penta Chutian-El.En. with timely written notice of a defect or problem
D.Warranty and Repairs for Laser Source from IPG:
Terms of warranty and Repairs for IPG laser source are directly transferred to the buyer of fiber laser cutting equipment
from Penta-Chutian in accordance with same terms specified in the original contract with IPG.
Warranty:
The IPG optical fiber laser main engine partial natures guarantee the time to approve for the equipment the qualified date
for 24 months other auxiliary equipment nature guarantee the time are finally 12 months. The buyer should follow the
user handbook and the technical document operation equipment strictly, because if artificial damage ‘OR’ operation not
when causes the question will not belong to the maintenance scope.
Operates the optical fiber not in the maintenance scope. If the buyer remove the DO NOT REMOVE label without the
permission of the seller, no warranty valid to the laser.
Repairs:
During the warranty period, when IPG receives the repair application from the buyer, the IPG will send service engineers to
the buyer’s site for the testing and repair. If IPG German engineers need to come to the buyer’s site for the repair, the IPG
will bear all the expenses during the warranty period. Out of the warranty period, the buyer shall bear all the expense
related to the repair.
The equipment returns the factory service in the warranty period the round-trip expense, the round turns undertakes 50%
respectively; Because if the IPG product quality question occurs returns the factory service, bears the round-trip expense
by IPG; The equipment returns the factory service transport expense outside the warranty period to undertake

independently by the buyer; If because the equipment the buyer artificial reason creates the damage in the warranty
period, then the buyer must bear this maintenance cost and the export shipping and handling cost.
Note: The buyer should not use the laser for any military application in anyway.
E. Warranty for Cutting Head from Precitec:
Terms of warranty for cutting head from Precitec are directly transferred to the buyer of fiber laser cutting equipment from
Penta-Chutian in accordance with same terms specified in the original contract with Precitec
Warranty:
Precitec shall guarantee that the goods are made of best materials, with first class workmanship, brand new unused and
correspond in all respects with the quality, specifications and performance. Precitec shall also guarantee that the goods
when correctly mounted and properly operated and maintained, will give warranty period of 12 months and will always
maintain the goods.

The PowerCut software package includes a standard Cad 2D license plus advance metal cutting features, such as Auto

Section 5: Installation
The supplier shall provide the demander with installation layout plan (including requirements for Civil engineering,
water, electricity, use level of gas and piping.)Within 15 days upon and from the date on which the business contract is
signed.
Installation shall be carried out in user’s factory and the user must prepare enough room, power supply, ventilating
system and equipment for installation. Installation shall be taken charge of by extremely well trained engineer of the
supplier. The supplier is responsible for installation of the equipment (including installation of the vent) and testing. The
user should cover the layout, water pipe, gas pipe, electrical cables for the installation and should fully cooperation with
our engineers, the job for connecting all the pipes and cables are covered by our engineer.
The installation includes up to 6-8 days of 3 Penta Chutian technicians at the buyer's site, the visa, international ticket,
meal and living expenses are covered by the buyer.

Section 6:After-sale Service
1) Within warranty period, if any quality related defect occurs on the equipment, the buyer shall reply and provide
maintenance instructions through phone or conduct on-sight service. In terms of on-sight service are demanded,
on-sight service requires seller’s technicians stay at buyer’s site, therefore, the visa, international ticket, meal and
living expenses are covered by the buyer.
2) Within warranty period, seller will be responsible for any damage caused by the quality problem of the equipment by
free parts replacing and service.
After warranty period expired, the seller’s well trained service engineer shall provide phone service or conduct on-sight
service. If replacement of the components is required, seller shall charge buyer on the replaced components with the fair
market price; and buyer shall be responsible for any possible occurring expense to seller’s service engineer such as visa,
international ticket, meal and living expenses.
