(Available to both commercial and residential members.)
$300/ton for qualifying units with a rating of 15 to 17 SEER(Not to exceed 50% of equipment cost)
$450/ton for qualifying units with a rating over 17 SEER(Not to exceed 50% of equipment cost)
$85/unit for terminal units (through-the-wall mounted heat pumps)
Applies only to permanent installations purchased and installed by CDEC member in 2020.
Rebate must be applied for within 90 days of qualifying product’s installation.
Window units do not qualify.
Minimum qualifying equipment sizeis 1 ton, and unit must have a minimum rating of 15 SEER.

Applies only to permanent installations purchased and installed by CDEC member in 2020.
Rebate must be applied for within 90 days of qualifying product’s installation.
Window units do not qualify.
Minimum qualifying load for ground- source heat pump installations is 3/4 ton (9,000 Btuh.
Energy-Star rating not required.
$500/ton for new systems using either ground-source closed loop or ground-water source
$250/ton for replacement systems using existing ground-source closed loop or ground-water source
Applies only to permanent installations purchased and installed by CDEC member in 2020.
Rebate must be applied for within 90 days of qualifying product’s installation.
Window units do not qualify.
Minimum qualifying load for central, split and mini-split heat pump installationis 1 ton. For terminal heat pumps, it is 12,000 BTU/hour rated capacity.

What is a split system?
Split systems are made up of an outdoor unit, which contains the condenser and compressor, and an indoor unit, which is often connected toa furnace or heat pump.
The illustration to the right is an example of a split-system air conditioner connected to a gas furnace.
To qualify for a rebate, your split system must beEnergy-Star rated, a minimum of 1 ton and have aminimum 15 SEER rating. Window units do notqualify for this rebate.
It is the CDEC member’s responsibility to workwith a contractor to ensure the equipment qualifi esfor a rebate. It is also the member’s responsibilityto work with a contractor to provide the requiredinformation below, in order for CDEC to process this rebate.
A copy of the qualifying equipment invoice must accompany the informationrequested below, as well as any documentation that confi rms the equipmentis Energy-Star rated and meets the 1 ton and 15 SEER minimum requirements.
