FUNDAMENTAL OF DESCRIPTIVE GEOMETRY

Geometry as a basis of Graphic Construction

Geometry helps the students to understand the process of design.

It’s very important for them to draw all types of figures

There are some flat figures like:

THE SQUARE

THE CIRCLE

THE RECTANGLE

THE ELLIPSE

THE EXAGON

THE TRIANGLE

THE OCTAGON

Etc…

And above all to draw their subdivision

All students must draw them many time to understand the forms.


I draw a SQUARE with its diagonals:

_I individuate the center and

_I draw the vertical axis passing through the center and afterwards the horizontal axis

I draw a CIRCLE:

_First I draw horizontal and vertical axes

_Then I draw a circle by joining the outer points of the axis

EXTEMPORISATION ON TEXTURE

• Divide the sheet of your sketchbook in four rectangles and fill theminside with different textures (regular and free style), as shown in the examples
