GENERAL NOTES Directions From the Norwich A47 Southern Bypass take the B1108 (Norwich/Watton Road) heading west towards Watton. Continue along this road for approximately 4.5 miles passing through the village of Barford. Turn right onto Spur Road, signposted for Barnham Broom. Continue for half a mile, to the end of this road and at the T junction turn right onto Norwich Road. Follow this road for another half mile heading out of the village and the field entrance to the sale ground will be found on the right. Please refer to the location plan within this catalogue. For those with Satellite Navigation the postcode is: NR9 4BT. ‘To The Sale’ signs will be erected on the morning of the sale. Car Park – As sign posted on the sale day. Value Added Tax – Items marked with an asterisk * will be sold subject to VAT at 20% in addition to the hammer price. Payments – Cheque, cash or card payments are accepted. Persons not known to the auctioneers must produce before bidding an acceptable reference. If no suitable banker’s reference is produced payment is strictly cash. Persons, who pay by cheque and are not known to the auctioneers, will have their goods impounded until cheques have cleared. CONDITIONS OF SALE
1. The Purchaser shall be the highest bidder. In the event of a dispute between
two or more bidders as to which is the purchaser the Auctioneers shall either declare the purchaser or at their option immediately re-offer the disputed Lot for sale. The Auctioneers reserve the right of bidding for withdrawing or altering the Order of selling of any lot or Lots.
2. The Auctioneers reserve the right to refuse any bidding and to determine the
amount to be advanced at each bidding. 3. The Vendor(s) reserve the right to place a "reserve price" on any Lot or Lots
and to bid for any Lot or Lots, or instruct the Auctioneer or any other person to bid on his/their behalf.
4. The Purchaser shall if required by the Auctioneers give his name and address
in writing and pay the whole of the purchase money at or before the close of the sale.
5. Each Lot shall be expressly at the risk and cost of the Purchaser at the fall of
the hammer. 6. No Lots shall be removed from the sale premises until paid for. 7. Interest at 1.5 % per month will be charged on all items from the sale day until
paid for. 8. All Lots shall be removed from the sale premises within 7 days unless other
arrangements are made with the Auctioneers. 9. Should the Purchaser fail to comply with the Conditions of Sale any Lot or Lots
will be re-sold by public or private sale at the discretion of the Auctioneers without further notice and the deficiency, if any arising from such re-sale, together with all costs and charges attending such second sale shall be made good by the defaulter at the present sale.
10. The Auctioneers reserve the right to refuse payment by cheque for any Lot
unless prior arrangements for such payment have been made to their satisfaction.
11. All statements contained in this catalogue as to any Lot are made without
responsibility on the part of Irelands or the Vendor. No such statement or description as to any Lot are to be relied on as statements or representations of fact. Any intending Purchaser must satisfy themselves by inspection or otherwise as to the correctness of each of the statements contained in this catalogue. The Vendor does not make or give representation or warranty whatsoever in relation to any Lot contained in this catalogue.
