2. The success of tobacco farming in Virginia had wide-ranging effects. Describe its impact on each of these groups: the Jamestown colonists, indentured servants, the Powhatan, the planters. Think About:

What do these lines tell you about the expectations many colonists had before they arrived in Virginia?
