Mr. Little passedaway Monday,February 3, 2014at Life Care Centerin Plainwell. Hewas born August 16, 1924in Muncie, Indiana toWilliam and Flo Little.

During WWII he served his country in theUS Army and was a recipient of the PurpleHeart following wounds he received as aPOW in Germany. Lionel was a taperoperator for 40 years with BrownCompany/James River until his retirementin 1983. He was a member of the NRAand enjoyed fishing and hunting. OnSeptember 1, 1945, in Jackson, hemarried Harriett D. Munson who survives.Lionel was a very loving husband andfather. Also surviving are his children,Margery (Mike) Bird of Kalamazoo,Rodney (Cathy) Little of Mesick, Jim(Mary) Little of Otsego and Gregory(Glenda) Little of Gobles; ninegrandchildren; and his siblings, Darrell(Eleanor) Little and Dolores (Ted) Pereza.He was preceded in death by his parents;brothers, Howard, Jack, Leslie and Elmer;and his sister Beulah. Cremation hastaken place and burial of ashes will takeplace at Fort Custer National Cemetery inthe spring. Contributions in memory ofLionel may be made to the Otsego V.F.W.Post #3030.
